As a follow up to our conversation, we would be honored to work with your fine community. Please allow the prepared info that I have sent you to act as an addendum to the RFP. Please accept the following possible dates for your selection. June 28-29 2014...or July 5-6 2014 or if there is a conflict with scheduling, our last alternative would be August 16-17. We will not require too much in-kind services besides security. HAE is basically self contained. All funding assistance would be earmarked for advertising. Please let me know if there is any additional info that I can provide you. Thanks for your help and I hope that we can have the opportunity to work in Vail and deliver a great art affair! all the best: Howard Howard Alan President Howard Alan Events American Craft Endeavors 270 Central Boulevard Suite 107 Jupiter, Florida 33458 Office: (561) 746-6615 Fax: (561) 746-6528 http://www.ArtFestival.com Follow us: Howard Alan Events http://facebook.com/HowardAlanEvents http://twitter.com/ArtFestivals http://pinterest.com/artfestivals American Craft Endeavors http://facebook.com/AmericanCraftEndeavors https://twitter.com/CraftFestivals http://pinterest.com/americancraftfl On Oct 21, 2013, at 1:34 PM, Sybill Navas wrote: Hi Howard, I left you a message just a bit ago, and am sorry to have missed your call this morning. I am in the office all day today, but may step out for a few minutes once or twice, please give me a call back at your convenience. It would be fine to use what you presented earlier as an addendum to the RFP – what we need is more information on what is required from the Town of Vail- particularly in the realm of in-kind services. Also, regarding the 100 tents- that number is an absolute maximum in the Lionshead area based on venue constraints and health and safety access. I look forward to speaking with you. Sybill Sybill R. I was on the road producing an event on Friday through this weekend and just had chance this morning to review your e-mail. Frank Hall suggested that we use what we already sent you as an amendment to your requested proposal. In response to your questions, Beaver Creek is the first weekend in August and the Frisco is the second weekend in August. We are proposing to produce our show in Lions Head in the last weekend in June or first weekend In July 2014. For the first year we can work with your 100 booth space allocation. If you please advise me on what additional info I should submit or can we make the original package an addendum to your requested proposal, your response is greatly appreciated. Thanks agin for the opportunity to work in your beautiful town. My apologies for such a delayed response- I have been on vacation the last two weeks, and was buried in meetings the few days immediately prior- so am playing a bit of catch-up. I am not clear on what exactly you need from us to produce the event in Vail. I am assuming some level of in-kind support would be requested? It seems that many of your festivals are quite large, and I believe we could accommodate roughly 100 tents (10x10/12) in the Lionshead Mall area, including the ski yard. Do you have dates set for Frisco and Beaver Creek this summer? If you would like the Commission on Special Events to consider your proposal, I request that you submit your information in response to the RFP we have posted at: http://www.vailgov.com/release.asp ?r_id=7802&type=33 I have also attached a “Word” document of the basic application, so that you can fill it out online. Please don’t hesitate to contact me with any questions you may have. Many thanks, Sybill Sybill R.
