Vail Holidaze is a community experience. Any funds will be used for event
production and ensuring the event depicts the “Vail Brand”:
The holiday season has a sense of community and family. The idea of bringing
yourself back to center and enrich your life and return to your world as a new and
better version of yourself is what Vail Holidaze is all about and emphasize that
the passion for the outdoors leads the way.

Event Description:
1. Vail Holidaze is the perfect place for family celebration this holiday
season.
Vail comes alive with lights, sounds, events and cheer during
December.
The Vail Tree Lighting, ice skating show, children have the
chance to skate with friends of Santa and parents may take
the time to shop at the local shops, followed by the parade,
carolers and the annual New Year’s Eve Torchlight Parade
and fireworks. Come enjoy the holidays in Vail and be sure not
to miss the fun and celebration!
2. Vail Holidaze will kickoff on December 19th from 3 pm- 5 pm
Holiday Cookie Decorating. The location is TBD.
The guests will come experience the true Holiday feel, with their
children and friends decorating cookies with local chefs.
There will also be the mulled wine and spirits for purchase while you
enjoy the event.
Kris Kringle will be available for pictures. We see the guest
experiencing a true family/community experience.
We will offer childcare and skating with Holiday Characters from
5:00 -7:30 pm
Kris Kringle will come join us for more pictures around the ice and
during the childcare.
There will be a “Vail Noel Night” where guests are able to shop with
discount from 3 pm- close. Participating stores will offer discounts,
subject to what works for each store.
Food will be available at select locations throughout town.

3. The week of December 18th, 19th and 20th:
Ice Sculpture contest: The sculpting will occur Dec 18th and 19th:
The contestants will be given piece of ice and placement throughout the
stores in Town that are participating in Vail Holidaze.
The judging will be on December 19th at 5 pm.
Location: Throughout the Town of Vail
4. The Tree Lightning and Parade on December 20th is a family holiday
celebration which will bring the community together for a short holiday
stage program to include: live a cappella entertainment, appearances
by the Mayor of Vail, special guests and of course the lighting of the
holiday tree. Complimentary hot chocolate will be served as guests
enjoy and ring in the holiday season. Immediately following the
program, join in the Annual Parade up Bridge Street into Mountain
Plaza.
5. Dependent on sponsorship dollars we will have an ice show between
Dec 25- and 31st. We will be working with location and space. We will

have Holiday Characters available to dance with the guests both Dec
19th and 20th.
6. We will have s’mores around fire pits located at the ice rinks during ice
time. The guests will cook s’mores with the Vail Fireman. The Vail
Firestation will be the hosts of the fire pits.
7. A Vail tradition is the torchlight parade and fireworks. This event will
happen on New Years Eve, December 31st. Come watch skiers form a
glowing train as they ski down Golden Peak. Viewing for this spectacle
will take place at the base of Golden Peak. Fireworks will light up the
sky directly after the parade.
10. 2014
Attendance:
The estimated attendance from 2014 was 2,500
We would like to see the number increase by having the Kris Kringle
Market.
Event staff varies for each event: We will have 10-15 employees and
volunteers
11. Local Spending Estimates:
Directing non-local attendees to Vail lodging options
Vail Holidaze/Ren Productions will work to advertise lodging
packages with the hotels for the Holiday season in Vail.
We will expand our marketing to include specific packages
that will be offered at each of our participating hotels. This will
give the opportunity for hotels to offer specials for families,
weekly packages, etc.
Return on Investment should town expect: This event is an
ambient event for the Town of Vail. We see adding an
additional event will increase the visitor ship and make us able
to market for weekly hotel stays. . The lodging will be close to

capacity and our goal is to bring guests into Vail to be
enhanced by what Vail has to offer this holiday season.
Compliance with Town of Vail: Ren Productions will be in agreement with goals
of the special event permit process.
Green Event:
We begin by utilizing post consumer recycled paper on all collateral and printed
materials.
We will use all compostable based service wear.
We will recycle. We will have a person at each event responsible for overseeing
green practices. The very nature of the event will encourage being green.

Funds will be used:
CSE funding makes it possible for Vail Holidaze to occur. This ambient
celebration in Vail gives the guests a true holiday in Vail experiencing the
Vail brand.
What percentage of the total event budget is the CSE being asked to
fund?
48.9% of the total event.
What is the $ amount of sponsorships from alternative sources
reflected in the event budget?
23.8% of budget
What % of the total event budget do you expect the event itself to
generate? (i.e. ticket sales, merchandise, food and alcohol sales, etc.)

If possible, would you intend to host the event 2015? If yes, for how
many years beyond 2015?
Yes. We will look forward to hosting Vail Holidaze annually for the Town
of Vail.

Do you anticipate requesting funding from the CSE next year?
Yes
If yes, given that the CSE encourages the development of
additional sponsors in order to leverage their own investments,
and anticipates that as events become established they will
become less reliant on public funds, what %, if any, of the total
event budget do you anticipate requesting next year?
Ren Productions will work on sponsorship for Vail Holidaze. We feel
that this event will bring people to town and is an added enhancement
of the Vail community. It will give another opportunity for people to
increase their stay.
We feel that this allows us to work with the Town of Vail and help to
enhance a yearly Town of Vail event.
Marketing Efforts:
1. Ren Production will work with the Town of Vail and Vail Resorts and we
will work with local and national media advertising. We will be working with
our sponsors to enhance the use of social media at all levels for this
amazing community event.
2. Ren Productions will create a collateral piece that will be distributed to
ALL concierges in Vail to promote the Vail Holidaze days.
4. Ren Productions will work to identify the best possible ways to promote
Vail Holidaze during early winter season: We will work with Vail Resorts to
utilize their marketing efforts and promote the community aspect of Vail
Holidaze. We will be working closely with any sponsors to work with the
additional Markets and their social media contacts.
5. Ren Productions has many in kind sponsors who will make significant
contributions of real value and we will have commitments as soon as the
contract is signed.
