We will host the most unique golf tournament in Vail Valley history, attracting many new
Colorado visitors and PGA teaching professionals to Vail. We will offer significantly more
prizes than ever before, including one or more $1 million hole-in-one shots, multiple
contests with high-value prizes including a Mustang convertible, a Harley-Davidson
motorcycle, and vacations in St. Andrews and Pebble Beach. We expect a complete sell-
out of both player tickets and sponsorships. The $6,000 grant will be used to underwrite a
portion of our costs for marketing to front range guests, meals, prizes, and related costs
required to conduct a first class event. The Town of Vail, as the only Platinum Sponsor, will
enjoy featured exposure in all marketing materials, including radio and print media, flyers,
posters, and an aggressive social media campaign including activity on Facebook, Twitter,
Instagram, and email blasts to targeted lists. Participants and donors will be upscale clients
from CO and other states, while sponsors will include many local businesses. Our Heart
Rod Bus and instructors will be on-site to demonstrate CPR/AED use and promote the Vail
Valley as one of the best prepared communities in the nation to respond to sudden cardiac
arrest with citizen first responders and ready availability of medical devices. This event will
redefine the state-of-the-art charity golf tournament and raise the bar for others. Proceeds
from this endeavor will help fund new AED placements, including Bighorn Park, Lionshead,
ball fields, and Ford Park, as well as continuing education for our civic-minded citizens.
