Beaver Creek Blvd. Avon, CO 81620 • Mailing Address: PO Box 7210 Avon, CO 81620 • Contact Info: o Main Phone: 970-926-7800 o Cell: 970-315-2675 o E-Mail Address: ross@vailleadership.org Event  Description:     The  launch  of  the  Vail  Centre  in  April  was  strategically  decided  with  Governor   Hickenlooper’s  office  in  order  to  become  the  host  organization  for  the  Vail  Forum  –   Mexico.    The  other  components  of  the  Centre  are  in  development,  and  will  take  3-­‐5   years  to  fully  launch.    The  Centre  will  aggregate  the  intellectual  offerings  of  multiple   international  events,  a  variety  of  University  Courses,  TedxVailCentre  Salons,   affiliated  higher  learning  conferences,  and  search  for  a  physical  space  in  which  to   host  programming  and  corporate  training.           The  current  request  for  funding  will  help  support  the  official  “public”  launch  of  the   Vail  Centre,  and  all  of  its  components  at  the  annual  Torch  Awards  on  December  11,   2015  in  Vail.    This  event  was  highly  attended  by  top  leaders  in  Vail  in  2014  (250   guests)  to  honor  Rod  Slifer.    The  event  for  2015  will  be  a  key  event  to  cultivate   public/private  relationships  to  gain  the  necessary  support  for  higher  learning,  and   the  engagement  funding  partners  of  the  Vail  Centre.         During  the  initial  roll  out  phase,  having  resources  to  properly  communicate   the  programming  of  the  Vail  Centre  is  key  to  building  this  community  asset.         Specifically,  the  funds  will  be  utilized  for  helping  tell  the  “story”  of  the  Vail  Centre   through  marketing  tactics.    The  $6,000  will  not  just  be  “spent”  for  a  “one-­‐off”  event,   but  rather  the  funds  will  serve  as  part  of  the  foundation  of  the  Vail  Centre’s   messaging  and  marketing  program  that  will  be  key  to  further  developing  corporate   partners,  educational  alliances,  and  private  donor  support.         The  Torch  Awards  will  also  serve  as  the  public  enrollment  launch  for  the  2016  Vail   Mexico  Forum,  with  key  Mexican  Leaders  in  Vail  and  the  State  attending  to  speak   about  the  upcoming  Forum  and  partnership  with  Vail.
