Event Liasion Update 05-03-2017 FINALEvent Liaison Update Upcoming Events Town of Vail | CSE | 5/3/2017 Vail Jazz Festival 6/9 - 9/4 Vail Arts Festival 6/23 - 6/25 Vail Family Fun Fest 6/24 - 8/5 Vail Lacrosse Shootout 6/25 - 7/4 Vail Jazz Festival: 6/9 - 9/4 Vail Jazz Category: Council Funded: $74,902 Days out: 37 Highlights: •Over 70 performances this summer, over half are free to the public •Focus on core audience with existing print collateral and print advertising—100pg program, folding pocket calendars, rack cards, newspaper ads •Refine social media mix to drive conversions •Increased efforts with community engagement with local businesses, professional/social groups and concierges •New ticketing platform will go live May 1st, offers ability to select assigned seats •Colorado High School bands will return this summer to play at Vail Farmers’ Market •Exciting additions include: crossover event with Vail Symposium on Cuban jazz Town of Vail | CSE | 4/6/2016 Vail Arts Festival: 6/23 - 6/25 Eagle Valley Events Category: CRC Funded: $8K Days out: 51 Highlights: •Vail Daily – double truck inserted into center of paper on 6/23 •Local radio advertising and interviews running 2-3 weeks prior to event •Digital marketing and social media advertising •Local and front range PR and event listing submissions •Website updates with 2017 details and artist sign up/registration •Kids Craft Activity Area Town of Vail | CSE | 5/3/2017 Vail Family Fun Fest: 6/24 - 8/5 Blue Creek Productions Category: CRC Funded: $20K Days out: 52 Highlights: •“Vail Family Event Presenter Partnership” program. Info source for family guests and point them towards other family programs and events which might be a great fit. Simple cross marketing partnership with other producers provide info and links to their events - GPMG, VAD, Nature Center, VFM, KAG and more. •Updating website to cross promote other family activities in Vail •Concierge Program for local lodges w/ digital event flier & visit •Email blasts to locals, businesses, hotel concierges and past attendees •Press Releases - local, regional and front range venues •Rack cards placed in businesses and lodges, posters and fliers •Facebook & Instagram page & social media push •Estimated audience goal of 700 to 800 per event Town of Vail | CSE | 5/3/2017 Vail Lacrosse Shootout: 6/25 - 7/4 Colorado Lacrosse Promotions Category: CRC Funded: $15K Days out: 53 Highlights: •Press releases - Pre-tournament and daily releases are sent to local outlets and national LAX media •Social Media - Thousands of followers on Facebook, Twitter, Instagram, Snapchat •Website -New, more user-friendly website - April 2017. Sponsor logos with links , field locations with Google maps •Posters - Hung in various businesses throughout West Vail, Vail Village and Lions Head, with plans to display more over the coming months. •Email Marketing - Updates on the tournament and of services from various sponsors. •Souvenir program – A couple thousand 5.5x8.5 souvenir programs with tournament info and ads.
