Potential: How will the event or program deliver and educational component?? Last year it was Antlers and Arrabelle. Antlers remains a loyal partner. We are now negotiating between Arrabelle and Marriott. This will be or second year of hosting the event in Lions Head Village. Antlers has steadfastly supported our efforts with gifted rooms and discounted rates. Last year Arrabelle added to the beautifully Vail-branded setting. With marketing support from Colorado Sun and direct co-sponsorship from DU, the Vail brand is in the center of our event, expanding its reach to a geographically integrated audience invested in contributing to society. This year we are determined to include the local public schools. This additional funding will allow us to invite the community service directors from local public high schools and a working colleague. The intention is to open up our resources to encourage community engagement by our local schools on “global” issues in our own valley. Mostly importantly, we want to put more funds into marketing. Last year’s event was powerful (and the numbers met our goals)– yet so many locals urged us to push it harder through various communication channels. The event is meant to inspire its attendees through presentations of theory and practice across all sectors. Both in content and method, its core purpose is to educate on principles of ethics and leadership. CSE 2019 RFP – EE Fund Balance: 2/22/2019 Application Form Page 3 of 6 5. Also, we brought in an international organization that applies design thinking to social challenges as speakers and to work with local students and Our Community Foundation. DU’s Daniel’s College of Business sponsored both undergrad and graduate students to attend; and three professors presented. The event’s central purpose is about educating for and nurturing generations of ethical leaders, beginning in Along with our staff, we hired Ceil Folz Consulting to help us create this event. Their growth-oriented approach guides us in developing partnerships (e.g. DU; Colorado Sun; family foundations; and business sponsors – both locally and Denver-based) for purpose of both sustainability and qualitative growth. The Global Solution Forum brings together leaders from four sectors: business; education; non-profit; and philanthropy. The purpose of this professional development event is to inspire dialogue and collaboration about ethical leadership. The format is a weave between keynote and plenary sessions, including presentations and panel discussions. Various opportunities are deliberately scheduled to encourage cross-pollination between sectors and small group idea generation.
