BE IT ORDAINED BY THE BOARD OF TRUSTc~ES OF TIC T0:'N OF ~I:.IL, COLORADO:
SECTIONI. Reckless driving. Any ~rerson who drives any
motor vehicle anywhere within this municipa~_ity in suct•. u manner as to
indicate eith¢r a willful or wanton disregard for t::e safety of persons
or property is guilty of reckless drivi::g.

SECTION 5. Authority to i.rl~~~tild vehicles. Whenever any
police officer finds a vehicle, attendee or =,52~t:tendr~d, s~a.r_d~^g upon any
portion of a street. or highway r_ght of wa;~ or ".=aspws~':.~g ~.:pc-~ ar=,~ pri-
vate property within this municipality in s±,::?~s a Ma.a:r as .*_o r_~nstitute
a violation of any section of t: is ordinai~cp, ~r l.nft uaar.tenda3 for a
period of 24 hours or more and pres:m-ed to be aba:.:I;;~ ~d canuPr t~:Q co:~ditions
prescribed by 13-5•-71 C.R.S. 1953 as am::r_ried, s~:ch oi~::.csr si:~all require
such vehicle to be removed or cacse the ssme to be rerzoved and placed in
storage in the nearest garage or otr.er place o~ sa%~".y designated or maintained
by this municipality, and tl:e charges for said impounding and storage shall
be charged to the owner of said vehicle.

SECTION 6, Speed Limit. Upon the basis of engineering
and traffic investigation it is hereby determined that the maximum speed
limit allowed within this municipality shall be l5 miles per hour. This
:::peed limit shall be in effect except where official signs are in place,
giving notice of a lesser speed limit, fn which case the speed limit on
the signs shall control.
SECTION 7. Special hazards. The fact that the speed of
a vehicle is lower than the speed limit established by this ordinance, or
as set forth on any official sign, shall not relieve t?~.e driver from the
duty to decrease speed when approaching and crossing an inte~:section,
when approaching and going aro~.;nd a curve, when approaching a hill crest,
when traveling upo*_i any narrow or win-ling roadway, or when special hazards
exist or may exist with respect to pedestrians or other traffic or by
reason of weather or roadway co~~ditions, ~.^d speed shall be decreased as
may be necessary to avoid colliding with any person, vehicle or other
conveyance, or object on or e~~tering the street in compliance with legal
requirements and the d~~ty of all persons to use due care.
SI;CTIG'_V 8. B_uss_es. Busses or other vehicles carrying the
public shall be permitted to stop and engage and discharge passengers only
at points designated by the Town Marshal.
^;:CTI_C'I_9_. Pe_._alties, Any perse:~ convicted of violating
any of the provisions of this ordinance s!:all be punished by a fine of
not mere than 5300.00, provided t~.at each separate act in violation of
the prov:s;.c.~s of this ordinance or each and every day or portion thereof
during which any sc;:arate act in violation of this ordinance is committed,
contin}~ed, or permitted shall be deem_d a separate offense.

exists and that t'ii.:, Ordirlnce is necc~sary to the immediate preservation
of r`.i;: pt,},1i.c peace, health, saf^ty acid general welfare, and shall be in
force and effect five (5) days after publication.
