BE IT ORDAINED BY THr BOARD OF TRUSTEES OF THE T06~J1~T OF VAIL,
COLORADO:
SECTION 1. Statutory Authority By statute (CRS 139-
49-2 1963, as Amended) there i~ created an~a established a Board
of Trustrees and the Policemen's Pension Fund, and by statute
(CRS 139--49-20 1963, as A.mendec?) the Town of Vail is granted the
power to nay from the general funds of the Town into the Police-
men's Pension Fund such sum monthly as shall not exceed 5$ of the
monthly salaries of the total police department, anc~. by statute
{CRS 139-49-21) it is provided that in municipalities that make
contributions from the general funds into the Policemen's Pension
Fund, the members of such police department shall from their
respective monthly salaries contribute into the Town's Policemen's
Pension Fund identical percentages monthly of their respective
monthly salaries.

SECTION 2. Findings. The Aoard of Trustees hereby
finds and determines that it is in the best interests of the Town
in order to promote the general ~aelfare and to provide for the

Ordinance is necessary for the immediate preservation of the public
peace, health and safety and, therefore, this Ordinance shall be
in full force and effect upon the expiration of 5 days from and
after its final passage and publication.
