AN ORDINANCE SUBMITTING TO THE TAXPAYING ELECTORS
OF VAIL GENERAL IMPROVEMENT DISTRICT, VAIL, COLORADO, THE
QUESTION OF ISSUING BONDS OF SAID DISTRICT IN THE PRINCIPAL
AMOUNT OF $200, 000. 00 FOR THE PURPOSE OF CONSTRUCTING AND
INSTALLING STREET PAVING, CURB, GUTTER, SIDEWALKS AND
NECESSARY DRAINAGE STRUCTURES FOR SAID DISTRICT.
WHEREAS, Vail General Improvement District, in Vail, Colorado,
has been duly organized; and
WHEREAS, the Board of Directors of said District has determined
and hereby determines and declares that the interest of the District and the
public interest and necessity demand the construction and installation of
street paving, curb, gutter, sidewalks and necessary drainage structures
for the District, and
WHEREAS, the present estimated cost of such improvements is
$200, 090. 00 and the interest to be paid on such indebtedness shall not exceed
6°jo per annum; and
WHEREAS, it is necessary to submit to the qualified taxpaying
electors of the District the question of issuing negotiable coupon bonds of
the District in a principal amount not exceeding the estimated cost of such
improvements;
THEREFORE, BE IT ORDAINED BY THE BOARD OF TRUSTEES

DIRECTORS OF VAIL GENERAL IMPROVEMENT DISTRICT, VAIL,
COLORADO:
1. That a special election of the qualified taxpaying electors of
the District shall be held at the Town Office, in Vail, Colorado, in said
District, on Tuesday, the 13th day of June, 1967, between the hours of
7:00 o'clock a. m. and 7:00 o'clock p. m. of said day, at which election
there shall be submitted to such taxpaying electors of the District the
question stated in the form of Ballot hereinafter set forth.
2. Ballots to be used in voting upon the question to be submitted
shall be prepared and furnished by the Secretary of the District to the
Judges of Election, to be by them furnished to the electors, which Ballots
shall be in substantially the following form:

QUESTION SUBMITTED:
"Shall Vail General Improvement District, in the Town of Vail,
Colorado, issue its general obligation negotiable coupon bonds, in the
principal amount of $200, 000. 00 for the purpose of constructing axd installing
street paving, curb, gutter, sidewalks and necessary drainage structures for
the District, such bonds to bear interest at a rate or rates not exceeding 6°~o per
annum, payable semi-annually, to mature within twenty years from their
date, and to be issued from time to time as the needs of the District require?"

FOR THE BONDS
AGAINST THE BONDS
(The elector shall indicate his vote by placing a cross (x) in the square
opposite the 'words expressing his choice.) (To appear on back of Official

Colorado, for special bond election on June 12, 1967.

3. No ballot for or against said question shall be received by the
Judges unless the person offering the same shall be qualified to vote at
general elections in the Town of Vail, Colorado, and shall have paid a
general tax on real or personal property located within the District in the
twelve months immediately preceding said election, excluding a tax on a
motor vehicle.
4. Barbara Parker, Barbara Hiland and Fran Morretti shall act
as Judges of said election and they shall appoint one of their number to
act as Clerk of said election. Each Judge shall receive $5. 00 cash for his
or her services.
5. Said election shall be held and conducted as nearly as may be
in the same manner as general elections are held and conducted in this
State.
6. Immediately after the closing of the polls the Judges shall
open the ballot box, count the ballots and promptly certify the results to the
Secretary of the District. The returns of said election shall be canvassed

and the result declared at the next regular or special meeting of the Board.
7. The Secretary of the District shall cause notice of said election
to be published in not less than four consecutive issues of the Eagle Valley
Enterprise, a newspaper of general circulation in the District. The first
publication to be not less than twenty days prior to the election, which
Notice shall be in substantially the form set forth in a Resolution to be later
adopted by the Board of Directors of the District.
8. Subject to a favorable vote of the taxpaying electors of the
District on the question of issuing bonds, public Notice of Sale inviting bids
for said bonds and public Notice to Contractors for the construction work is
hereby authorized to be given, said Notices to be published in the Eagle
Valley Enterprise, a newspaper of general circulation in the District, in
the time and manner required by law.
9. The Secretary of the District is hereby instructed to give Notice
to the County Assessor of Eagle County that the District has been duly formed
and organized and that the Board of Directors of the District has taken
affirmative actions which will result in the levying of taxes in the year, 1967,
and thereafter.
10. That if any one or more sections or parts of this Ordinance
shall be adjudged unenforceable or invalid, such judgment shall not affect,
impair or invalidate the remaining provisions of this Ordinance, it being
the intention that the various provisions hereof are severable.
