AN ORDINANCE ADOPTING A FIRE PREVENTION CODE
PRESCRIBING REGULATIONS GOVERNING CONDITIONS
HAZARDOUS TO LIFE AND PROPERTY FROM FIRE OR
EXPLOSION
~n~HEREAS, the Board of Trustees for the Town of Vail,
Colorado, h~.s determined that a serious and urgent need exists within the
Town of Vail to provide adequate regulations pertaining to prevention of
fires and explosions far the general, safety and welfare of the citizens
of the caxr~munity; and,
WHEREAS, the Fire Prevention Code (Abbreviated Edition}
of 1965, pxovides a comprehensive and thorough set of axticles relating
to fire prevention and the regulation of conditions which could be
dangerous to persons or property; and
WHEREAS, the Fire Prevention Code of 19b5, sets forth
standards and regulations which are applicable to the Town of Vail,
and should be adopted as the Fire Prevention Code fax the Town of
Vail fnr the general good, safety and welfare of the community;
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT ORDAINED BY THE BOARD
OF TRUSTEES OF THE TOWN CF VAIL, GOLORADO THAT.
Section 1. The "Fire Prevention Code {Abbreviated
Edition) of 165" be adapted as the Fire Prevention
Code fax the Town of Vail, Colorado, as if all of
the terrras said provisions of said "Fire Prevention
Code of 1565" were set forth and recited herein
verbatim.
Section 2. A copy of the "Fire Prevention Code of
1965" shall be made a part of this ordinance and
shall be incorporated herein by reference, and
shall forar_ and become an integral part of the
ordinances of the Town of Vail, Colorado, 14b9 Series.
Section 3. If any part or parts of this ordinance
is for any reason held to be invalid, such invalidation
shall not affect the remaining portions of said ordinance.
Section 4. Any and all provisions of the ordinances
of the Town of Vail, Colorado, as amended, in conflict
or inconsistent herewith, are hereby repealed.
Section 5. The Board of Trustees finds that this
ordi~iance is necessary to protect the public health
and welfare; therefore, this ordinance shall became
effective upon its introduction and adoption and shall
be published in accordance with the ordinances of the
Town of Vail and the laws of the state of Colorado.
