ORDINANCE NO. 20
Series of 1973
A SUPPLEMENTAL ORDINANCE AUTHORIZING THE
EXPENDITURE OF FUNDS BY THE TOWN OF VAI L IN
EXCESS OF THE TOWN BUDGET FOR 1973, AND
SETTING FORTH MATTERS AND DETAI L5 IN RELATION
THERETO.
WHEREAS, contingencies have arisen during the fiscal year 1973,
which could not have been reasonably foreseen or anticipated by the Town
Council at the time of the adoption of the budget for the year 1973; and
WHEREAS, the Town of Vail has received certain revenues not
budgeted for previously; and
WHEREAS, the Town has previously adopted a budget which has not
taken into consideration the increased revenues received by the municipality
this fiscal year, nor has said budget taken into consideration the increased
expenditures necessary to provide adequate municipal services for the Town,
including general services and cultural and recreation programs; and
WHEREAS, the Town Manager has certiFied to the Town Council that
sufficient funds are available to discharge the appropriations referred to
herein, not otherwise reflected in the budget, in accordance with Section
9.10{a) of the Charter for the Town of Vail; and
WHEREAS, due to the contingencies which could not have been foreseen
at the time of the adoption of the Town's budget, the Town Council considers
that a need exists to approve a supplemental appropriation for the purposes
hereinafter set forth;
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT ORDAINED BY THE TOWN COUNCIL
OF THE TOWN OF VAIL, COLORADO, THAT:
Section 1 . Appropriation far Construction of an Addition to and
Rennovation of a Building.
There is hereby appropriated From the Town of Vail Open Space and
Capita [ Improvements Fund the sum of $15 , 000.00 for the construction of an
addition to and rennovation and improvement of the A-frame building located
on a portion of Block 1, Lot 1, Vail Lionshead second filing, within the Town
of Vail. The Town Council hereby authorizes the expenditure of the sum of
$15,000.00 from the Town of Vail Open Space and Capital Improvements Fund
for the purpose set forth herein.
