ANNUAL APPROPRIATION ORDINANCE: ADOPTING
A BUDGET AND FINANCIAL PLAN AND MAKING
APPROPRIATIONS TO PAY THE COSTS, EXPENSES,
AND LIABILITIES OF THE TOWN OF VAIL, COLORADO,
FOR ITS FISCAL YEAR JANUARY 1, 1975 THROUGH
DECEMBER 31, 1975, AND PROVIDING FOR THE LEVY,
ASSESSMENT, AND COLLECTION OF TOWN AD VALOREM
PROPERTY TAXES DUE FOR THE 1974 TAX YEAR AND
PAYABLE IN THE 1975 FISCAL YEAR
WHEREAS, in accordance with Article IX of the Charter
of the Town of Vail, Colorado
submitted to the Town Council
program for the Town of Vail,
as the "Town", and a proposed
Town funds and activities for
the Town Manager prepared and
a proposed long-range capital
Colorado, hereinafter referred to
budget and financial plan for all
the 1975 fiscal year;
WHEREAS, notice of the public hearing on the proposed
Town budget and capital program was published on the 22nd day
of November, 1974, more than seven days prior to the hearing,
in accordance with Section 9.5 of the Charter; and

WHEREAS, it is necessary for the Town Council to adopt
a long-range capital program and the budget and financial plan
for the 1975 fiscal year, to make appropriations for the amounts
specified in the budget, and to provide for the levy, assessment,
and collection of Town ad valorem property taxes due for the
1974 tax year and payable in the 1975 fiscal year;
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT ORDAINED BY THE TOWN COUNCIL OF
THE TOWN OF VAIL, COLORADO, AS FOLLOWS:
Section 1. Title.
This ordinance shall be known as the "Annual Appro-
priation Ordinance Adopting 1975 Budget and Financial Plan for
the Town and Providing for the Levy, Assessment, and Collection
of Town Ad Valorem Property Taxes Due for 1974 Tax Year".
Section 2. Enactment Procedures Fulfilled.
The procedures prescribed in Article IX of the Charter

of the Town of Vail, Colorado, for the enactment hereof have
been fulfilled.
Section 3. Annual Appropriations for 1975 Fiscal
Year .
Pursuant to Article IX of the Charter, the Town
Council hereby makes the following annual appropriations for
the Town of Vail, Colorado, for its fiscal year beginning on
the 1st day of January, 1975, and ending on the 31st day of
December, 1975:

Section 4. Adoption of 1975 Budget and Financial Plan
and Long-Range Capital Program (1975).
The Town Council hereby adopts the full and complete
Budget and Financial Plan for the 1975 fiscal year for the Town
of Vail, Colorado, and the Long-Range Capital Program (1975)
for the Town, which are incorporated by reference herein and
made parts hereof, and copies of said public records shall be
made available to the public in the Municipal Building of the
Town .

Section 5. Levy, Assessment, and Collection of Town
Ad Valorem Property Taxes Due for 1974 Tax Year and Payable in
1975 Fiscal Year.
For the purpose of defraying part of the operating
expenses of the Town of Vail, Colorado, during its 1975 fiscal
year, the Town Council hereby levies a property tax of 5.4
mills upon each dollar of the total assessed valuation for the
1974 tax year of all taxable property within the Town, said
assessment having been duly made by the County of Eagle, State
of Colorado, and directs the Finance Director to certify said
tax levy to the County of Eagle for collection pursuant to
Chapter 137, Colorado Revised Statutes 1963, as amended, and as
otherwise required by law.
Section 6. Effective Date.
This ordinance shall take effect five days after pub-
lication following the final passage hereof.
INTRODUCED, READ ON FIRST READING, APPROVED, AND
ORDERED PUBLISHED ONCE IN FULL, this 3rd day of December, 1974,
and a public hearing on this ordinance shall be held at the
regular meeting of the Town Council of the Town of Vail, Colo-
rado, on the 17th day of December, 1974, at 7:30 P.M., in the
Municipal Building of the Town.
