ORDINANCE NO. 24
Series of 1985
AN ORDINANCE MAKING CERTAIN CORRECTIONS TO NUPI6ERING
AND WORDING INACCURACY TO ORDINANCE N0. 9, SERIES OF
1985, AND ORDINANCE N0. 13, SERIES OF 1985; AND SETTING
FORTH DETAILS IN RELATION THERETO.
WHEREAS, A SUPPLEMENT to the Vail Municipal Code is in the process of being
codified; and
WHEREAS, the review of existing ordinances for such purposes indicates certain
numbering, wording and typographical errors that need to be corrected before the supple-
ment is campiete; and
WHEREAS, said corrections do not in any way change the intent or reading of
said ordinances.
NOW, THEREFORE, be it ordained by the Town Council of the Town of Vail, Colorado
that
Section 1.
Ordinance No. 9, Series of 1985, Section 2, is hereby repealed and reenacted to
read:
Section 2.
Section 18.54.050, F - Accessory Structures/Utilities/Service Areas subparagraph
3 is hereby repealed.
Section 2.
Ordinance No. 13, Series of 1985, Section 1 is hereby repealed and reenacted to
read as follows:
Section 1.
Title IX of the Vail Municipal Code is hereby amended by the addition of a new
Chapter 9.47 Theft or Mutilation of Library Property, and a new Section 9.47.010 Theft or
Mutilation of Library Property to read as follows:
9.47.010 Theft ar Mutilation of Library Property
It shall be unlawful for any person to take, without complying with the appropriate
checkout procedures, or to retain any property belonging to the Vail Public Library for
thirty (30) days after notice is sent to said person in writing to return the same, given
after the expiration of the time that by the rules of the Vail Public Library such property
may be kept, or to mutilate such property.

Sectian 3.
If any part, section, subsection, sentence, clause, or phrase of this ordinance
is for any reason held to be invalid, such decision shall not a#~fect the validity of the
remaining portions of this ordinance; and the Town Council hereby declares it would have
passed this ordinance, and each part, section, subsection, sentence, clause or phrase
thereof, regardless of the fact that any one or mare parts, sections, subsections, sen-
tences, clauses or phrases be declared invalid.
Section 4.
The Town Council hereby finds, determines and declares that this ordinance is
necessary and proper for the health, safety and welfare of the Town of Vail and the in--
habitants thereof.
Section 5.
The repeal or the repeal and reenactment of any provision of the Vail Municipal
Gode as provided in this ordinance shall nat affect any right which has accrued, any duty
imposed, any violation that occurred prior to the effective date hereof, any prosecution
commenced, nor any other action ar proceedings as commenced under or by virtue of the
provision repealed or repealed and reenacted. The repeal of any provision hereby shall
not revive any provision ar any ordinance previously repealed or superseded unless ex-
pressly stated herein.
INTRODl1GED, READ AND APPROVED ON FIRST READING THIS 5th day of
November 1985, and a public hearing shall be held on this ordinance
on the 5th day of November 1985, at 7:30 p.m. in the Council
Chambers of the Vail Municipal Building, Vail, Colorado.
