Lionshead Place/Variance to Road Standards
Enclosed you will find the following material for proposed variances to road standards for
Lionshead Place:
1. Application Form,
2. Filing fee of $650,
3. List of adjacent property owners,
4. Adjacent property owners envelopes,
It is anticipated that variances will be requested to the following standards:
■ Section 13-10-9, subsection A8 -to eliminate the required 40'pavement radius at the end of
the cul-de-sac.
■ Section 13-10-9, subsection A9 & D1 & D3 & E1 - to vary from the required Design Speed
of 30 mph for a Local Rd. to a design speed that allows for the vertical curve lengths, K
values, and sight distances that are proposed.
■ Section 13-10-9, subsection A9 - to allow road grades in excess of 8% (up to 11%).
It is anticipated that some direction from the Town Council will be obtained at Tuesday's work
session it this direction may influence if this variance application is necessary. For this reason a
written statement regarding the variance has not been submitted (design plans depicting the
variances have been submitted to public works as an element of the Core Site civil plans). We
would request that if it is determined on Tuesday that a variance application is necessary a
written statement and a separate set of plans specific to the variances will be submitted on
Friday, February 4t"
