LAND PLANNING & COMMUNITY DEVELOPMENT MEMORANDUM TO: George Ruther FROM: Tom Braun CC: Jay Peterson, Jack Hunn DATE: January 29, 2005 RE: Lionshead Place/Variance to Road Standards Enclosed you will find the following material for proposed variances to road standards for Lionshead Place: 1. Application Form, 2. Filing fee of $650, 3. List of adjacent property owners, 4. Adjacent property owners envelopes, It is anticipated that variances will be requested to the following standards: ■ Section 13-10-9, subsection A8 -to eliminate the required 40'pavement radius at the end of the cul-de-sac. ■ Section 13-10-9, subsection A9 & D1 & D3 & E1 - to vary from the required Design Speed of 30 mph for a Local Rd. to a design speed that allows for the vertical curve lengths, K values, and sight distances that are proposed. ■ Section 13-10-9, subsection A9 - to allow road grades in excess of 8% (up to 11%). It is anticipated that some direction from the Town Council will be obtained at Tuesday's work session it this direction may influence if this variance application is necessary. For this reason a written statement regarding the variance has not been submitted (design plans depicting the variances have been submitted to public works as an element of the Core Site civil plans).
