RE: Lionshead Wayfinding Signage
Thank you for meeting on-site last week to discuss the wayfinding signage in Lionshead. The following serves as a summary of required changes to “The Arrabelle Streetscape Design Directional
Sign Package” dated Jun 30, 2007, and received by the Town of Vail on July 9, 2008.
Remove all walking times except for those related to Cascade Village, Dobson Ice Arena, Hospital, Library, Vail Village and Ford Park.
Change all “To Gore Valley Trail” to read “Gore Valley Trail”
Blade P1-B: Below Eagle Bahn Gondola, add “Visitor Parking” with the Parking (P), Bus, Phone, and ATM ($) symbols.
Blade P3-A: Below I-70 Overpass, add “West LH Bus Stop” with the Bus symbol.
Blade P3-B: Top should read “East LH Bus Stop” with Parking (P) and Bus Symbols. Bottom should read “Gore Valley Trail” with the Walk/Bike, Gondola and Restroom Symbols.
Blade P4-A: Top should read “Dobson Ice Arena, Library” with the Ice Skating and Library Symbols. Bottom should read “Hospital” with the Hospital (H) symbol.
Blade P5-A should have a Lift symbol next to “Vail Village” and next to “Ford Park”
Blade P8-A: Change to one blade only to read “Vail Village” with a lift symbol on top and “Gore Valley Trail” with a walk/bike and Hospital (H) symbols.
Blade P8-B: Change to one blade only. Top should read “LH Village Bus Stops” and bottom “Visitor Parking” with the symbols listed.
Blade P10-B: Add “Visitor Parking” with standard symbols to bottom of sign.
If you have any questions about the above changes, please let me know. Please submit the amended sign package to the Department of Community Development for staff approval as soon as
possible prior to fabrication. Please note that once these wayfinding signs are installed, no temporary signage will be permitted.
