Long's had removed the old concrete for a proposed bike path
west of Chair #8 and was preparing subgrade at the proposed
river area south of the Garfunkles building.

HP Geotech's Site Activities:
We observed the subgrade preparation at the proposed paver
area south of the Garfunkles building. An isolated area —
20'x10' at the southeast corner of the building contained
topsoil roots and organics. Sub - excavation of this area was
recommended to Jeremy with Longs Excavating.
Verbal Communication:
The contractor was informed of our observations and
recommendations.

Contractor's Construction Activities: Long's began placement of the initial lift in the landscape area
outside the proposed bike path west of Gondolas terminal.
Equipment in Use: Loader, skidsteer, walk behind padsfoot
HP Geotech's Site Activities: We observed the placement of the initial lift of fill in the
landscape area northwest of the proposed bike path beneath
the skier bridge. Compactive effort had not begun during our
morning visit. At the time of our afternoon visit, it was
observed that the unsuitable topsoil had been excavated at the
southeast corner of the Garfunkle building and replaced with
suitable soil as previously recommended. The one lift of fill at
the landscape area beneath the skier bridge had been
compacted with a walk behind padsfoot roller. Reinforcing
steel was inspected for the site wall footings.

path. Fill was not being placed during our morning visit. At the
time of our afternoon visit additional 1 /4" aggregate base course
had been imported to be placed at the court yard area.
