I will have additional cost estimates and plans on Monday. Once I receive them I will drop them of to you. VRDC and the , Arrabelle team look forward resolving this issue at Wednesday meetting` Thank you for your cooperation and attention to this matter Matt Matt Lydens Project Manager Vail Resorts Development Company office 970-845-2574/ cell 970-331-7755 »> "Hal Yoder" <HYoder@catorruma.com> 03/24/2006 3:54 PM »> Matt, The attached PDF contains a simple payback analysis for adding insulation below the TOV snowmelt. The annual energy cost savings is $3486/yr The installation cost is$43,000 The simple payback is 12.3 years We did not perform a simple payback analysis for the controls system. It appears the alleged benefits of the DDC controls are primarily operational and not energy related. The TOV snow melt system runs east to west between tall buildings and is substantially shaded throughout the day. There is not a significant diversity on the system due to sunny and shady spots to allow individual manifold control to realize energy savings. Hal Yoder, P.E.
