A quorum being present Lindstrom called the meeting to order at 3:12PM.

4.1.Employee Housing Unit Exchange Request to release the recorded deed-
restriction located at 375 Mill Creek Circle and exchange it for a new
deed-restriction to be recorded at 4192 Spruce Way, Unit 205A, Altair Vail
Inn.
Presenter: Lynne Campbell, Housing Coordinator
Campbell reviewed the applicant’s request with the Authority.
Morales motionedto recommend to the Vail Town Council to release the
recorded deed restriction at 375 Mill Creek Circle and replace with a Type
IIIdeed restriction at Altair Vail InnUnit 205-A.

4.2.Discussion of a Communications Strategy for Deed-Restricted Homes in
Vail
Presenter: Suzanne Silverthorn and Susan Mitchell, Town of Vail
Lindstrom requested to reordered item 4.2 to hear after executive
session.
Mitchell stated it is time to review housing branding.Create one
brand/umbrellathat works with all housing players: Vail Local Housing
Authority, Town Council and Housing Subcommittee. The intended goal is
to make locating housing information less confusingfor the public.
The Authorityagreed to the one name for the entire group related to
housing.
Mitchel asked if Vail InDEED is a program within housing?
Authority -Yes.
Mitchell reviewed some potential branding namesand visual display
concepts. The display could summarize housing accomplishments and / or
statistics. Mitchell questioned if the Authority would prefer the name to be
straight forward or catchy.
Discussion ensued regarding potential names, taglines andvisual
concepts. Mitchell, do taglines become program specific?Sheasked the
board to forward other names and taglines to herand pointed out the goal
is to clearly indicate VLHA works in partnership with Council.
SuzanneSilverthornasked when money is spent down valley what does
that action includes. Does the brand name include any downvalley
expenditures?
The branding timeline is needed sooner than later. Ruther noted
Magellan’s 2019 housing surveylistedone item was to improve housing
awareness. The Town will do a follow up survey in June2020therefore,
branding concepts / decisions is needed sooner than later.
Lindstrom asked if the tag lines, are they synonymous with the housing
mission?
Mitchell and Ruther thought note taglineas a “mini” mission (statement).
Ruther surmised taglinewith “one home at a time” catches the full housing
department mission.
Mitchell askedwhat the Authority thought of using the existing Vail InDEED logo,
keeping only the mountains and windows. The InDEED program could be
relocated as a program under housing.
Members present agreedto the logo concept.
Mitchell asked the members to email ideas. She will attendthe next meeting

Staff and the Authority reviewed Vail Local Housing Authority’s name. Does the
word “local” remain?
Yes, according to Lindstrom so to differentiate between VLHA(Vail Local
Housing Authority)from VHA (Vail Homeowners Association).
Next steps,Mitchell will pricevideo screens vs. visual displayand discuss the
visual display location.
Silverthorn suggestedthe subcommittee also reviews the branding ideas. Once
the visual location is selected,we can move forward with the information.

Lindstrom noted the Highline project was postponed to the January 27PEC
meeting and asked if any VLHA member couldattend. Morales expressed
interest in attending.

three (3) submitted Vail InDEED applications and program details.

PROPERTY (TYPE III DEED RESTRICTION) IN THE TOWN OF VAIL LEGALLY
DESCRIBED ASCONDOMINIUM UNIT 9, WREN HOUSE CONDOMINIUMS, EAGLE
COUNTY, COLORADO WITH A PHYSICAL ADDRESS OF 5024MAIN GORE DRIVE
SOUTH, UNIT 9, VAIL COLORADO; AND SETTING FORTH DETAILS IN REGARD
THERETO.
WHEREAS, the Vail Local Housing Authority (the “Authority”), in the Town of Vail, County
of Eagleand State of Colorado is dulyorganized and existing under the laws of the State of
Colorado; and
WHEREAS, the members of the Authority have been duly appointed and qualified; and
WHEREAS, the Authority considers it in the interest of the public health, safety and
welfare to purchase a Type III Deed Restriction (the “Deed Restriction”) on the property legally
described asCondominium Unit 9, Wren House Condominiums,Town of Vail, Eagle County,
Coloradowith a physical address of 5024 Main Gore Drive South, Unit 9, Vail Colorado(the
“Property”); and
NOW THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE TOWN COUNCIL OF THE TOWN OF
VAIL, COLORADO THAT:
1.The purchase ofthe Deed Restrictionon the Property is hereby approved by the
Authorityat themaximum purchase price of $53,600.
2.The Chairman of the Vail Local Housing Authorityis hereby authorized to execute,
on behalf of the Town, an agreement to purchase the Deed Restrictionand to take
whatever steps are necessary to complete the purchase of the Deed Restriction
on the Property.
3.This resolution shall take effect immediately upon its passage.
