surgeries than its mountain peers.

MEANINGFUL ACTION
1.Vail Health’s commercial insurance rates are significantly less than I-70 mountain peers.
2.Vail Health’s margins are high because it does ~10X more annual orthopaedic surgeries
than its mountain peers.
3.A large percentage of the patients receiving orthopaedic care at Vail Health are not from the
Eagle River Valley.
