A RESOLUTION AUTHORIZING THE TOWN OF VAIL TO ENTER INTO AN
INTERGOVERNMENTAL AGREEMENT WITH THE STATE OF COLORADO TO
PREPARE A TRANSPORTATION MASTER PLAN AND ACCESS MANAGEMENT
PLAN FOR THE I-70 VAIL FRONTAGE ROAD, IN VAIL, COLORADO; AND SETTING
FORTH DETAILS IN REGARD THERETO.
WHEREAS, the Town of Vail (the "Town"), in the County of Eagle and State of
Colorado is a home rule municipal corporation duly organized and existing under the
laws of the State of Colorado and the Town Charter (the "Charter"); and
WHEREAS, the members of the Town Council of the Town (the "Council") have
been duly elected and qualified; and
WHEREAS, the Council considers it in the interest of the public health, safety
and welfare to prepare an Access Management Plan for the Vail I-70 Frontage Road.
The estimated total cost of the work shall be Twenty-Four Thousand dollars ($24,000),
which the State of Colorado (the "State") has funds available and desires to provide
100% of the funding for the work.
WHEREAS, the Council's approval of this Resolution No. 17, Series 2007, is
required to enter into this Intergovernmental Agreement.
NOW THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE TOWN COUNCIL OF THE
TOWN OF VAIL, COLORADO THAT:
1.The Intergovernmental Agreement to prepare a transportation master
plan and access management plan for the Vail I-70 Frontage Roads is
hereby approved by the Council.
2.This resolution shall take effect immediately upon its passage.
INTRODUCED, PASSED AND ADOPTED at a regular meeting of the Town
Council of the Town of Vail held this 7th day of August, 2007.
