HomeMy WebLinkAbout2003-10 IGA for Animal Control Services with Eagle County Animal Control4 RESOLUTION No. 10 SERIES OF 2003 A RESOLUTION DIRECTING THE TOWN MANAGER TO ENTER INTO AN INTERGOVERNMENTAL AGREEMENT FOR ANIMAL CONTROL SERVICES WITH EAGLE COUNTY ANIMAL CONTROL WHEREAS, the Town Council believes that it is in the community's best interest to contract with Eagle County for the performance of animal control services; and WHEREAS, the County of Eagle is agreeable to rendering such animal control services; and WHEREAS, such Intergovernmental Agreement is authorized pursuant to Section 18(2)(a) and (b}, Article XIV of the Colorado Constitution and C.R.S. 29-1-201 et seq. NOW THEREFORE BE lT RESOLVED by the Town Council of the Town of Vail, Colorado that: 1. The Town Manager is hereby authorized to enter into the Intergovernmental Agreement that provides for the following: a) Administration and enforcement of the current Title 6, Animals of the Municipal Code of the Town of Vail by the animal control services of the County of Eagle, Colorado. b) The Town of Vai! agrees to pay Eagle County, on or before the fifteenth of each month, the sum of $ 3,250.00 based on estimated patrols and on estimated sheltering requirements of 600 animal days; responding to on-ca11 emergencies at an additional rate of $50.00/incident. c) All court fines and costs will remain with the court of venue. d} The County sha11 administer the County's Dog Tag Program for the Town. Monies collected from residents of the Town shall belong to the County. Resolution No. 10, Series of 2003 a • 2. This resolution shall take effect immediately upon its passage.
