Series of 1977 A RESOLUTION OF THE TOWN COUNCIL EXPRESSING ITS SUPPORT FOR H.B. 1716 AUTHORIZING BOARDS OF COUNTY COMMISSIONERS TO ADOPT DOG CONTROL MEASURES AND URGING ITS PASSAGE BY THE GENERAL ASSEMBLY i WHEREAS, the existing authority of Boards of County Commissioners to regulate dogs and animals running at large is ambiguous and ineffective; WHEREAS, the control of dogs running at large in unincorporated areas of the State has become an increasing problem punctuated by the tragic death of a child in Summit County; and WHEREAS, the Town Council is of the opinion that Boards of County Commissioners should be enabled to adopt more stringent dog control measures; NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE TOWN COUNCIL OF THE TOWN OF VATL, COLORADO, THAT: 1) The Town Council hereby expresses its support for H.B. 1716 and urges the House and Senate of the General Assembly of the State of Colorado to adopt the same.
