Charity is offering assistance too.

update finance Wednesday. Halloran suggested using the Salvation Army funds
provided rather than use Timber Ridge funds. King agreed. King suggested using
rd
party to review for contested decisions.
a 3
Use $43K in rent relief fund with Salvation Army, they make decision on relief, all
of portion of rent taken from $43K, TR made whole.
Halloran stated TOV could give criteria for review of Timber Ridge rent relief.
They would cut checks to Timber Ridge not the tenant.
Corum hasn’t seen anything from Salvation Army at this time. Salvation Army still
working through many applications.
Halloran asked what turn-around time was.
Next steps: Use Salvation Army, how to provide direction for Salvation Army to
provide up to? or can they go more?
Army will ask how much owed to Timber Ridge, will verify with Crow.
Good questions to ask Salvation Army.
Should TOV encourage a limit of 50% of rent?
King: thinks we should have ability to make an exception to tenants’ situation.
Find out how determination of need is calculated.
Who is contact at Salvation Army? Ruther will locate Salvation Army contact.
For other residents getting assistance from Salvation Army or is there a deferred
payment option for other.
King deferred option best but be flexible to allow for other resources.
Summary
If financial needed, determined by Salvation army if not need then 100% of
rent due by tenants in June.
Weston what happens to those who cannot pay. Will deposit allocation be
opened to use? So far only one tenant is in dire straits.
Crow thinks with all available funding options (SA, Catholic Charities, etc.)
doesn’t think security deposits will be needed.
Crow trying to avoid deferred payments.
Committee decided to not use security deposits for month of June, hold for
