Communications@Inntopia.com www.Inntopia.com Data as of: 10/15/2020 Vail Production Notes DOR PRODUCTION NOTES: General DOR Notes: ➢ Average Daily Performance for the current month and upcoming 6, October 1st, 2020 to April 30th, 2021, is currently down -8.6% (-8.8 last report) compared to last year ➢ Since the last report (09/30), bookings activity for October 1st through March 31st, 2021 has yielded a net of +17,329 or 17,329 new bookings. This level of net booking activity has decreased from the last report (+21,064). o *It is important to consider that when we observe net statistics these numbers take into account a summation of both bookings and cancellations as both types of activity were noted since the last report. o **We cannot account for the net change to bookings for the month of April as this month is newly on the books and therefore has no change from the prior report ➢ New booking’s arrival date distribution of the total 17,329 added since last report o October: +5,817 or 33.6% o November: +2,911 or 16.8% o December: +3,381 or 19.5% o January: +1,404 or 8.1% o February: +1,595 or 9.2% o March: +2,221 or 12.8% ➢ From the new booking’s arrival date distribution, we can see that short-lead demand continues to inflate bookings for the coming months. November surprisingly added the 3rd largest amount of new bookings, which will create an interesting trend to watch and analyze in years to come, as November has notoriously been a shoulder month with low occupancy, and currently has an average daily occupancy of 20%, an absolute increase of +5% from the last report. Additionally, March’s new bookings seem to show further confidence in the winter season as a large number of travelers targeted the month for travel plans. The level of new bookings added has consistently fallen from the “high water” mark of +24,764 new bookings noted in the 09/15 report, which may signal a slowing down of pent-up-demand bookings, could be due to seasonal trends or macroeconomic factors.
