Vail Production Notes
DOR PRODUCTION NOTES:
General DOR Notes:
➢ Average Daily Performance for the current month and upcoming 6, May 1st, 2021 to November 30th, 2021 has
declined since last report, and is currently up +11.8% (+12.6% last report) compared to last year
➢ Room Nights Booked (RNB) for the current month and upcoming 6, May 1st, 2021 to November 30th, 2021 total
140,759, and are currently up +76,257, or +118.2%, (+72,646 or +92.9% last report) compared to last year at this
time (64,502)
➢ Since the last report (04/30), bookings activity for May 1st through October 31st, 2021 has yielded a net of
+16,426 or 16,426 new bookings. This level of net booking activity has decreased -26.2% (+54.9% last report)
from the last report (+22,259)
o *It is important to consider that when we observe net statistics these numbers take into account a
summation of both bookings and cancellations as both types of activity were noted since the last report.
o **We cannot account for the net change to bookings for the month of November as this month is newly
on the books and therefore has no change from the prior report
➢ New booking’s arrival date distribution of the total 16,426 (22,259 last report) added since last report:
o May: +3,741 (+3,073 last report) or +22.8% (+13.6% last report)
o June: +2,871 (+5,736 last report) or +17.5% (+25.5% last report)
o July: +3,863 (+7,421 last report) or +23.5% (+32.9% last report)
o August: +3,818 (+2,876 last report) or +23.2% (+12.8% last report)
o September: +1,578 (+1,054 last report) or +9.6% (+4.7% last report)
o October: +555 (+369 last report) or 3.4% (+1.6% last report)
➢ Since the last report, 04/30 net new bookings volume has decreased -26.2%, following an increase in volume
(+54.9%) noted last report. July (3,863) and August (3,818) share the designation of most net new bookings of all
months included as there was a difference of only +45 bookings, of which July took. In a continuation from the
trend noted last report, May continues to add large amounts of net new bookings as good weather and pent up
demand fills in a usually quiet shoulder month. June has experienced a large decrease (-50%) in the amount of
net new bookings added since last report as consumer booking attention was drawn towards July and August,
and leaves room for the next reporting cycles to fill in June to levels being noticed in the surrounding months.
September and October captured smaller shares of total net new bookings, 9.6% and 3.4% of the total
respectively. As the summer months’ arrival dates in the next 60-90 days fill in we expect to see elevated
bookings pace in September and October as compared to current.
