Vail Production Notes
DOR PRODUCTION NOTES:
General DOR Notes:
➢ Average Daily Performance for the current month and upcoming 6, June 1st, 2021 to December 31st, 2021 has
increased since last report, and is currently up +16.2% (+1.5% last report) compared to last year
➢ Room Nights Booked (RNB) for the current month and upcoming 6, June 1st, 2021 to December 31st, 2021 total
171,038, and are currently up +91,401, or +114.8%, (+88,406 or +116.0% last report) compared to last year at
this time (79,637)
➢ Since the last report (05/31), bookings activity for June 1st through November 30th, 2021 has yielded a net of
+13,788 or 13,788 new bookings. This level of net booking activity has decreased -42.2% (+45.1% last report)
from the last report (+23,840)
o *It is important to consider that when we observe net statistics these numbers take into account a
summation of both bookings and cancellations as both types of activity were noted since the last report.
o **We cannot account for the net change to bookings for the month of December as this month is newly
on the books and therefore has no change from the prior report
➢ New booking’s arrival date distribution of the total 13,788 (23,840 last report) added since last report:
o June: +3,067 (+5,959 last report) or +22.2% (+25.0% last report)
o July: +3,867 (+7,577 last report) or +28.0% (+31.8% last report)
o August: +2,781 (+4,484 last report) or +20.3% (+18.8% last report)
o September: +3,115 (+2,160 last report) or +22.6% (+9.6% last report)
o October: +471 (+907 last report) or +3.4% (+3.8% last report)
o November: +487 (+186 last report) or +3.5% (+.7% last report)
➢ Since the last report, 05/31, there has been a decrease (-42.2%) in net new bookings volume following an
increase (+45.1%) last report. July experienced the largest decrease in net new bookings volume as -49.0% less
bookings were noted for the month. Though the decrease didn’t keep July from being the consumer choice this
report as +3,867 or +28.0% of the total net new bookings made were attributed to the month. September and
November were the only two months to experience an increase in net new bookings volume since last report,
September up +955 net new bookings or +44.2% and November +301 net new bookings or +161.8%. September
slightly beat June in the race to capture the second most net new bookings since last report, as +3,115 were
reported for September, and +3,067 for June. October continues to add small amounts of net new bookings,
though it retains a year over year outperformance in average daily performance and should experience large
increases in net new bookings as the month draws closer and less public-health-centered ambiguity surrounds
the fall. As this summer season shapes up to bring in much more business and stability than last, there stands an
increased chance for short-lead bookings to further bolster performance in the coming months.
