Amendment tg the 1999 N.E.C. Town of Vail Ordinance 10-1-6.
Overhead services are not allowed in the Town of Vail.
Underground seruices have to be in conduit (PvC) ftom the bansformer to the electric mebr, main disconnect
sruitch and to the first elecbical distribution ciratit breaker panel.
The'main disconnect swibch shall be located no<t to the meter on the e,rterior wall of the sUucture easily
accessible-
All underground conduits are required b be inspected before back-filling the fench.
In multi-family dwelling unlts, no elecbical wiring or feeder cables shalt pass fiom one unit to another. Common
walls and spaces are accepted-
NM Cable (Romex) is not allowed in commercial buildings or structures exceeding three (3) stories.
No use of aluminum wire smaller than size #8 ui{ll be permitted with the Town of Vail.

All insbllations of elterior hot fubs or spa's requlr€ a DRB approval from planning. This application will
not be acceptd without a copy of the DRB approval form attached (if applicable).
If this permit is for insbllation of an octerior hot hrb or spa on a new elevated platrorm or deck over
30" abore grade, you must also obtain a building permit.
If this permit is for insbllation of an exterior hot h.rb or spa on any existing deck or elevated platform,
a structural engineer must review the existing condition and veriff that it will support the added
concentrated load. Please provide a copy of the strucfural engineers wet shmped letLer or drawing
with this application.
If this is a remodel in a multi-farnily building with a homeowners association, a letFr of permission
from the association is required.
If this permit is for a commercial space, two (2) sets of stamped drawings arc required.
