Brian Nolan | Restaurant owner, Blue Moose Pizza Brian Nolan is the owner and operator of a long list of local and surrounding restaurant operations, starting in 1989 in the Vail Valley. He is presently operating Blue Moose Pizzas in Beaver Creek and Vail, with eyes on expanding soon. A group initiative from PrimaVail Leadership Panel Wil Nolan | Restaurant owner, Blue Moose Pizza Wil Nolan was born and raised in the Vail Valley and graduated from the University of Washington, Seattle. Wil's passion is in operating community-first restaurants with focuses on ground level action for creating more sustainable, fair, and prosperous businesses. Johannes Faessler | President, Sonnenalp Properties Johannes Faessler moved to Vail in 1985 and took over as President of Sonnenalp Properties and hotel, golf and retail operations. The Sonnenalp Hotel in Vail is part of “The Leading Hotels of the World” with 112 suites and 15 hotels rooms in an intimate, boutique atmosphere. Additionally, the Faessler family started the Sonnenalp of Vail Foundation, which focuses its efforts on charitable endeavors in the medical, educational and human service fields, with particular focus on the needs of children and families in the greater Eagle Valley community. Esmarie Faessler | Director of Marketing, Sonnenalp Resort Esmarie Faessler is the Director of Marketing for the Sonnenalp Hotel. Esmarie believes in the power of data driven marketing and enjoys the challenges that accompany the ever-changing marketing landscape. Prior to her move to Vail and the Sonnenalp, Esmarie lived in Denver and worked in market research for the Denver Broncos. She currently serves as the chairperson for the Vail Local Marketing District Advisory Council. Drew Riley | Owner, Slope Enterprises Drew Riley grew up in Vail and in the restaurant industry. He has a master’s degree in mechanical engineering and uses it to bring revived life and ideas to the deeply rooted Russell's and Los Amigos. This revived life consists of updating the restaurants to implement new technology to increase efficiency. Even though there are changes to the restaurants, the heart and soul of Russell's and Los Amigos endure. Michael Staughton | Previous Owner, Slope Enterprises Michael Staughton is the previous co-owner of Slope Enterprises in partnership with Drew’s father, Ron Riley. Slope Enterprises operates the restaurants Los Amigos and Russell’s, both located in Vail Village. He is a past board member for the Vail Chamber and Business Association. Kim Langmaid | Vail Town Council, Founder of Walking Mountains Science Center, Professor at CMC A third generation resident, Kim’s parents and grandparents were among Vail’s early entrepreneurs. Kim founded the Gore Range Natural Science School in 1998 that has since evolved into the Walking Mountains Science Center. Kim is currently an Associate Professor of Sustainability Studies at Colorado Mountain College. Kim is an active founding member of the Climate Action Collaborative for the Eagle County Community, the Eagle County Community Wildlife Roundtable, and the National Forest Foundation and Vail Resorts’ Eagle Valley Ski Conservation Fund Advisory Com-mittee. As a community leader on the Vail Town Council, Kim is following in the footsteps of her grandfather, Joe, who was elected to Vail’s first Town Council in 1966. Moderated By Alison Wadey | Executive Director of Vail Chamber & Business Association Before joining the VCBA team, Alison served as the Director of Membership Sales & Marketing at the Club at Cordillera for ten years. She is involved in the community through the Vail Rotary Club and other charitable organizations as well as serves on the Vail Commission on Special Events and on the Vail Economic Advisory Council.
