DOR PRODUCTION NOTES:
General DOR Notes:
➢ Average Daily Performance for the current month and upcoming 6, November 1st, 2020 to May 31st, 2021, is
currently down -12.1% (-11.3 last report) compared to last year
➢ Since the last report (11/15), bookings activity for November 1st through May 31st, 2021 has yielded a net of
+19,669 or 19,669 new bookings. This level of net booking activity has increased from the last report (+11,243)
o *It is important to consider that when we observe net statistics these numbers take into account a
summation of both bookings and cancellations as both types of activity were noted since the last report.
➢ New booking’s arrival date distribution of the total 19,669 (11,243 last report) added since last report:
o November: +1,713 (+2,082 last report) or 8.7% (18.5% last report)
o December: +5,777 (+2,044 last report) or 29.4% (18.2% last report)
o January: +5,685 (+2,768 last report) or 28.9% (24.6% last report)
o February: +4,348 (+2,130 last report) or 22.1% (18.9% last report)
o March: +3,278 (+1,765 last report) or 16.7% (15.7% last report)
o April: +374 (+454 last report) or 1.9% (4.1% last report)
o May: -1,506 or -7.7%
➢ Since the 11-15 report new booking’s arrival date distribution favored December, January, and February. April
gained a far smaller share than did last report, as did November, illustrating consumer’s preference toward the
holiday season and the core winter months. This was to be expected after the opening of reservations systems
and on-mountain lifts and will hopefully help to bolster the bookings in December and January that currently sit
at a collective 26,000 bookings less than last year at this time. In December, 40% of the net new bookings fell
between the 20th and the 31st of the month. In January, 63% of the net new bookings fell between the 1st and
the 18th, Martin Luther King Day. May experienced a net decline in bookings, the only month to experience a
decline, but remains a ski/snowboard season away and has plenty of time to realign bookings with pace made
last year. In totality, 67% or 13,175 of the net new bookings arrival date distribution falls within the next 90
days, a continuation of the trend noted over the summer season.
November
➢ November added a number of bookings similar to last report, though the booking pace was not enough to bring
the month to an outperformance versus last year, and as such, average daily performance is -1.7% (-1.8% last
report)
