MAC Music Series-CSE Briefing pdfRe-allocation of MAC Music Series to Town of Vail “MAC sessions” Pitch for the re-allocation of the MAC music series funds to a COVID appropriate music series that supports local gig musicians while enhancing the communities stay-at-home experience. We propose a series of at least 10 music sessions in the Mountain Art Collective’s facilities that mimic that of NPR’s Tiny desk music series. These shows will be live broadcasted as well as recorded for continued entertainment as well as historical preservation. This will be branded as a Town of Vail music event in collaboration with the MAC. The Bullet points: •10 shows ranging from full bands to single performer acts (we can extend this to include more as we gauge community involvement) •Thursdays- 5pm to 7pm Budget : $28000 Talent: 700 for band 350 for soloist - artists allowed to Venmo for tips Venue cost: 500 Production: 1500 - photo/video - Sound engineering - broadcasting Marketing/Design: 150 The amount of shows outside of 10 will depend on solo vs full band and how that affects the budget.
Possible talent includes: (some have already confirmed they will play, although I don’t see anyone saying no) - turntable review - Burnsville blues band - Tony G’s band - Talking in Circles - renegade sons. -Brothers keeper -The platonic -Colorado rewind -Laughing bones -Billy Mickler -Beth Swearingen- fabulous fems -Brian spotts -Johnny Magumbo -Johnny Schleper -Troy Harris  -Brendan McKinney
