a. Shakedown Presents (15 Minutes)
• Keep the ambient entertainment rocking in the village through
October. The finale will be the Halloween jam at the children’s
fountain.
• Davis: Can the proposal be split up? The Halloween sounds like a
great idea and a driver vs the ambient. I think October will need
more drivers than ambient.
• Rediker: The Halloween sounds like a great idea. Reach out to
VRD.
• Rednor: Halloween really is the same as the other shows just with a
slightly enhanced band members and some decorations.
• Gordon: I don’t think the same entertainment continuing will
continue to draw more people. The music is the same that comes
out of most of the bars. We need more variety for surprise and
delight. I see as many people walking away from the music as
towards it.
• Wadey: Do you have contacts for other genres. Themed shows?
• Davis: I would support $8000 for a Halloween concert.
• Gordon: I agree as long as they work with VRD.
• Motion to fund a shakedown Halloween event at $10000 with
simultaneous entertainment in lionshead and Vail Village
