Approval of the Minutes from the October CSE Meeting • Davis/Rediker/Unanimous b. Council Update • Clarification of the 1 household gathering order • New appointments for 2021. Alison Wadey, Marco Valenti, Nick Conover, and Douglas Smith. • Thank you to Mark Gordon and Barry Davis for your years of support and commitment. c. VLMDAC Update • Accepting interested candidates to interview for open VLMDAC board positions • VLMDAC meetings have permanently moved to third Wednesday of the month 2. 8:45 a.m.: Event Update/requests (20 Minutes) a. Snowsports Museum Scavenger Hunt • $20k funding needed to pull together full program • Gordon: this looks like a great opportunity for a private sponsorship. • Wadey: Make sure Lionshead has plenty of activation. • Motion to fund the Snowsports museum scavenger hunt for 25,000 • Wadey, Davis, Gordon, Rediker, Lau – For / Biszantz - opposed 3. 9:05 a.m.: Event Recap (75 minutes) a. Vail Symposium (15 minutes) • Able to continue to meet mission engaging locals. Also re-engaged past attendees and a national crowd. Down Valley to Down South. • Able to get much larger speakers with a virtual setup. H.R. McMaster is coming up. He never would have taken 4 days to come in person but can do a virtual event for us. • Loss of ability to gather in person has impacted fundraising. Couldn’t host in person fundraising events. • July 30 is the 50th anniversary. • Motion to release final funding. • Davis/Biszantz/Unanimous b. Mountain Youth (15 Minutes) • Launched new latinx program. Over 1500 participants. Added new programs because of demand caused by the pandemic • Demographic tracking on virtual platforms is trickier. • Rediker – thank you for producing these programs. They are important to our community. Please make sure to continue to focus on up valley programs a few times. • Motion to release final funding • Rediker/Lau/Unanimous c. Shakedown Presents – October (15 minutes) • Businesses around the concerts were very pleased. • Saw many locals returning week after week. • Tourists enjoyed the surprise music. • Estimated NPS based on the surveyed events and not receiving negative feedback in October. • Motion to release final funding. • Davis/Rediker/Mark Opposed d. Starting Hearts (15 Minutes) • Event recognized frontline public safety and first responders. • Motion to release final funding. • Valenti/Davis/Unanimous e. Vail Jazz (15 Minutes) • 1150 total attendance, NPS 81, Overall, very good feedback. Limited time to plan with the changing restrictions. Very cautious of health and safety. Completely touchless for the event. The marked squares on the field created a feeling of safety. Thanks Jeremy and Town Staff for your support and creation of the new venue. • Partnered with restaurants to prepackage picnic meals instead of having on site F&B. • Motion to release final funding. • Davis/Valenti/unanimous 4. 10:10 a.m.: New Business (10 minutes) a.
