We will be adhering to the Eagle County Requirements at the time of the event. Doubles Volleyball
inherently fits well with many of the protocols. Two competitors occupy 900 square feet, outdoors, and are
separated from their opponents by a net. We have been running some form of volleyball throughout the
pandemic with a myriad of different restrictions. The players have been generally respectful of these
requirements. We see most of these players weekly in our programs or at tournaments and they have
proven responsive to the adjustments we have been making for the last year that enable them to play.
Changes specific to this year’s event include:
- Registration on line, no day of registration.
- On line check in, competitors arrive and go directly to their nets.
- Staggered star t times.
- No player parties.
- No awards.
- Masks required when not on the cour t (if necessary).
- Restrictions of on-site movement during competition.
- No spectating the “pro” divisions.
- Ability to contract trace all participants.
- Wellness check waivers for competitors.
Most of our par ticipants are from the region and they are pretty nimble. We would be able to restrict the
event on short notice (less than a week) and probably a similiar timetable if things loosened up.
Registration and check-in. Players will arrive andn proceed directly to their courts. n site and proceed to
their assigned cour ts. We currently run 400 teams a week this way in Denver (4's and 6's) so the players are
familiar with this process and the
