General Information:
All projects requiring design review must receive approval prior to submitting a building permit application. Please
refer to the submittal requirements for t}le particular approval that is requested. An application for Design Review
cannot be accepted unul all required information is received by the Community Development Department. The
project may also need to be reviewed by the Town Cnuncil and/or the Planning and Environmenhl Commission'
Design review approiral lapses unless a building permit is issued and construction commences within
one year of the approval.

Dear Carlos,
As we previously discussed, the D'Carlo store within the Lodge at Vail is located in the
Commercial Core 1 (CCl ) Zone District. Pursuant to the provisions of the CCI Dishict,
the addition of any commercial floor area (including a bay window) is subject to review
by the Town of Vail Planning and Environmental Commission. Therefore, in addition to
the already submitted design review application, an application for a "Minor Exterior
Alteration" must also be submitted to the Town of Vail for review.

Dear Carlos,
As we previously discussed, the D'Carlo store within the Lodge at Vail is located in the

by the Town of Vail Planning and Environmental Commission. Therefore, in addition to
the already submitted design review application, an application for a "Minor Exterior
Alteration" must also be submitted to the Town of Vail for review.
The Community Development Department has not received any response from you
from our conversation or from my letter dated October 8, 2007. The Community
Development Department considers this application both incomplete and inactive, and
therefore is hereby considered nulland void.
Please submit a complete design review application and major exterior alteration
application to the Community Development Department at such time you choose to
again proceed forward with this bay window proposal.
