A. In addition to meeting submittal requirements, theapplicant must, stake and tape the project site toindicate property lines, building Lines and buildingcorners. A11 trees to be rernoved must be taped. AIIsite tapings and staking must. be completed piior to theDRB site visit. The applicant must ensure that stakingdone during the winter is not buried by snow.
B. The review process for NEW BUILDINGS normally requirestwo separate meetings of the Design Review e6ard: aconceptual approval and a final" approval . Applicantsshould plan on presenting their development pioposal ata mj.nimum of two meetings before obtaining finalapproval .
C. Applicant,s who fail to appear before the Design ReviewBoard on their scheduled meeting date and who have notasked in advance that discussion on their item bepostponed, will have their items removed from the DRBdocket until such time as the item has beenrepublished,
D. The following items may, at the discretion of thezoning administrator, be approved by the CommunityDevel_opment Department staff (i.e. a formal hearingbefore the DRB may not. be reguired):
a. Windows, skylights and sirnilar ext.erior changeswhich do not alter the existing plane of t.hebuilding; and
b. Building addition proposals not visible from anyother lot or public space. At the time such aproposal is submitted, applicants must includeletters from adjacent property owners and,/or fromthe agent for or manager of any adjacentcondominium association stating the associationapproves of the addition.

Window and door replacement to forty-four units at the Lodge at Vail.
On June 29, 1994, the Lodge at Vail, represented by Dan Berger, received staff approval to
replace a single-pane window and door with double-pane glass. The replacement window and
door was the exact same size as the window and door being removed. The purpose of
replacing only the one window and door at the time was to determine the cost effectiveness
and time commitment of the replacement.
Now, on October 18, 1994, the Lodge at Vail again represented by Dan Berger, would like
approval to do similar window and door replacements to forty-four other units in the Lodge at
Vail. lt is staff's determination that the staff approval received by the Lodge at Vail on June
29, 1g9zt should also encompass the forty-four (44) windows and doors the Lodge now wishes
to replace. The only condition that applied to the June 29h staff approval is that the window
and door replacement be completed per plans submitted to the Office of Community
Development on June 21 , 1994. Since the June 29, 1994 statf approval applies now to the
October 18, 1994 request, it is also staff's interpretation that no additional Design Review
Board fee needs to be paid.
