Program Impact, Testimonials & Observations
4
Community and personal impact on attendees of the event:
We were able to create both an in-person event for the public safety agencies to attend and celebrate,
as well as a virtual event for the community to participate.
Include any testimonials from attendees
We received a large number of testimonials, acknowledgements, and thank yous from many of the
participants, including award presenters, award winners, safety agency leadership, and sponsors.
We did not ask for written testimonials on site. We could generate over 100 such testimonials
upon request and we have enthusiastically been asked to produce next year’s event in a larger
venue, allowing for more public participation.

NPS (Net Promoter Score)
7
Attendee Response: How likely is it that you would recommend this event/program to a
friend or colleague?
While we did not offer a written survey to the attendees, due to the brilliant verbal
feedback of those who attended and participated in the event, we would deinitely
rate it at a Promoter level of 9. Not a single bit of negative feedback has been
received.
The NPS Calculation
Calculate your NPS using the answer to a key question, using a 0-10 scale: How likely is it that you would recommend [brand] to a
friend or colleague?
Promoters (score 9-10) are loyal enthusiasts who will keep buying and refer others, fueling growth.
Passives (score 7-8) are satisfied but unenthusiastic customers who are vulnerable to competitive offerings.
Detractors (score 0-6) are unhappy customers who can damage your brand and impede growth through negative word -of-mouth.
Event Strengths & Weaknesses
8
•How did the event/program exceed expectations?
We were extremely pleased to conduct a sold-out event to recognize our local public
safety heroes. The public safety agencies award recipients were so touched to have
received the awards and be recognized among an audience of their peers.
•What are areas for event/program improvement? We would most definitely welcome
the opportunity next year and in future years to hold this annual event at a Town of Vail
public venue with 500+ in-person attendees. The intent is to shine a light on our
Emergency Responders and that includes the public. A larger venue, inviting the public
is our goal for next year.
•How did this year’s event/program compare to last year? Last year was an online
virtual event only, due to COVID restrictions. This event was truly a welcomed
recognition from the community members of Eagle County, and the in-person event is
something we look forward to hosting year after year.
Vail Brand Compatibility
The Premier International Mountain Resort Community
9
•How did the event /program support the Vail Brand?
The beautiful Donovan Pavilion was an elegant setting to hold this very important
annual event.
Brand Positioning:
•Town of Vail: The Premier International Mountain Resort Community
•Vail Mountain: Like nothing on earth
Community Contribution
10
•How did the event/program impact Vail’s sense of community?
The Night of Heroes event made a major impact not only within the Town of
Vail itself, but on surrounding Eagle County communities. The event brought
together Eagle County public service agency first responders. In addition, the
general public was invited to observe the virtual event and recognize these
amazing community heroes receive their outstanding awards.
Topline Marketing Efforts
11
What are the top 3 successful marketing tactics, executions or results from your
event/program?
1) Gathering the support of all local area public service and government agencies to
work together to create an outstanding event
2) A successful and cooperative partnership with the 3 Rotary Clubs of Eagle County
3) Acquiring the support of local businesses as sponsors of the event

Potential for Growth & Sponsorships/Media Exposure
12
•How do you see the event/program evolving next year?
Next year we plan on holding an in-person event in Vail with 500+ in attendance
•What sponsors do you plan to target next year? (Including existing and potential sponsors)
Due to the success and popularity of this year’s event, we plan on approaching all
community businesses to be able to participate as a sponsor and/or silent auction donor.
We found that community businesses really wanted to participate and several heard about
the event and contacted us to be involved. It is apparent that this type of event is truly
supported by the communities that the public safety agencies serve.
•How will you leverage media exposure and extend the marketing reach next year?
The Vail Daily was our primary media outreach, as well as local radio stations. Next year we
will plan more of the same and potentially include other media outlets as well.
Sustainability Efforts
13
•What measures were taken at your event/program to support the
environmentally-friendly goals of the Town of Vail?
•All waste was essentially eliminated by holding the event at the Donovan
Pavilion with Red Canyon Catering. There were no paper products and no trash
was generated.
•What waste reduction methods were used during your event/program? There
was no waste involved whatsoever.
The Town of Vail is committed to the stewardship and protection of our unique mountain environment. In consideration of both
our local and global impacts and opportunities, our environmental vision is to demonstrate and promote:renewable energy,
resource efficiency, ecosystem protection, and community awareness and education.
