Describe and changes that are being
made to the event as proposed in your
RFP.
This years event is technically now 6 days, starting on June 7 and ending
on June 12. However, the only event elements happening on Tuesday
June 7 and Wednesday June 8th are off-site athletic competitions in Red
Cliff & Minturn. We moved our Steep Creek Championship to Wednesday
and we've added a Dual Slalom MTB event in Minturn on Tuesday night
and Wednesday.
The core Mountain Games event is still in Vail, kicking off on Thursday
June 9 and ending on Sunday June 12. We plan to utilize Lionshead (Dog
Town), Vail Village, Vail Mountain, Mountain Plaza (Climbing), Golden
Peak, Lower Bench, and the GRFA as public event venues. Thank you.
