Summer Season Monthly Occupancy Pacing
**Above is a depiction of how average daily occupancy has increased for each summer season month in between reporting periods, starting with
the May 15th reporting cycle**
➢ Since the last report, July has experienced the largest increase (+12.1%) in average daily occupancy
➢ Since the last report, September has experienced the smallest increase (+8.7%) in average daily occupancy
General DOR Notes
➢ The Average Daily Occupancy for July 1, 2023 – January 31, 2024 is: 33.0%
➢ Average Daily Performance for the current month and upcoming 6, July 1st, 2023 to January 31st, 2024 has
improved since last report, and is currently up +2.2% (+0.2% last report) compared to last year
➢ Room Nights Booked (RNB) for the current month and upcoming 6, July 1st, 2023 to January 31st, 2024 total
167,914 and are currently up +5,644 or +3.5%, (-3,565 or -2.0% last report) compared to last year at this time
(162,270)
➢ Since the last report (06/30), bookings activity for July 1st through December 31st, 2023 has yielded a net of
+13,051 or +13,051 new bookings. This level of net booking activity has decreased -0.9% (-8.0% last report) from
the last report (+13,165)
o *It is important to consider that when we observe net statistics these numbers take into account a
summation of both bookings and cancellations as both types of activity were noted since the last report.

July
➢ July added the largest amount of net new bookings of all months included in this report, improving overall
performance for the month, as the year over year bookings underperformance has moved closer to net even,
and additionally average daily performance is now equivalent with last year showing +0.0% (-2.5% last report)
o July Average Daily Occupancy is 66.0% (58.9% last report)
o There are -2,075 (-3,297 last report) less bookings than last year at this time
o Since the last report, there have been net +4,919 (+4,950 last report) bookings for the month
o The largest net addition in bookings, since the last report, occurred on the 15th, with +291 bookings
added
o No days experienced a net reduction in bookings since last report
o The largest outperformance is on the 4th, up +23.1% (+21.5% last report) over last year at this time
o The largest underperformance is on the 20th, down -17.8% (-22.2% last report) over last year at this time

➢ Strong net new bookings in August have improved the year over year bookings underperformance as it now sits
within 550 bookings of last year at this time, and additionally average daily performance has improved to a
positive metric, up +1.2% (-0.7% last report)
o August Average Daily Occupancy is 49.5% (44.3% last report)
o There are -516 (-1,500 last report) less bookings than last year at this time
o Since the last report, there have been net +3,473 (+2,77 last report) bookings for the month
o The largest net addition in bookings, since the last report, occurred on the 6th, with +237 bookings
added
o No days experienced a net reduction in bookings since last report
o The largest outperformance is on the 11th, up +21.1% (+18.0% last report) over last year at this time
o The largest underperformance is on the 19th, down -14.7% (-16.3% last report) over last year at this time
o Daily inventory is lower than last year at this time
September
➢ While September has added fewer net new bookings than last report, the increase outpaced booking additions
made last year at this time, and as such the year over year bookings underperformance has improved as average
daily performance increased to +0.4% (-0.5% last report)
o September Average Daily Occupancy is 36.4% (33.5% last report)
o There are -730 (-1,101 last report) less bookings than last year at this time
o Since the last report, there have been net +1,769 (+2,358 last report) bookings for the month
o The largest net addition in bookings, since the last report, occurred on the 16th, with +123 bookings
added
o No days experienced a net reduction in bookings since last report
o The largest outperformance is on the 14th, up +10.3% (+8.2% last report) over last year at this time

➢ October has added more than 3x as many net new bookings as last report, further improving the year over year
bookings outperformance, and boosting average daily performance higher to +4.9% (+3.9% last report)

o There are +3,262 (+2,633 last report) more bookings than last year at this time
o Since the last report, there have been net +1,176 (+355 last report) bookings for the month
o The largest net addition in bookings, since the last report, occurred on the 26th, with +295 bookings

o The only net reduction in bookings, since the last report, occurred on the 18th, with -1 bookings
cancelled

➢ November has added a similar amount of net new bookings as last report, though booking pace at this time last
year was stronger as the year over year bookings outperformance has declined, additionally average daily
performance has fallen to +0.8% (+1.7% last report)
o November Average Daily Occupancy is 9.3% (8.4% last report)
o There are +244 (+994 last report) more bookings than last year at this time
o Since the last report, there have been net +553 (+506 last report) bookings for the month
o The largest net addition in bookings, since the last report, occurred on the 22nd, with +47 bookings
added

o The largest outperformance is on the 2nd, up +10.5% (+10.6% last report) over last year at this time

➢ December has added roughly the same net new bookings as last report, slightly outperforming booking pace at
this time last year, and additionally boosting average daily performance to +2.8% (+2.5% last report)
o December Average Daily Occupancy is 24.6% (22.8% last report)
o There are +1,388 (+1,307 last report) more bookings than last year at this time
o Since the last report, there have been net +1,161 (+1,062 last report) bookings for the month
o The largest net addition in bookings, since the last report, occurred on the 28th and 29th, with +70
bookings added
o No days experienced a net reduction in bookings since last report
o The largest outperformance is on the 5th, up +13.8% (+12.8% last report) over last year at this time
o The largest underperformance is on the 1st, down -3.8% (-1.2% last report) over last year at this time
