The permit must show work progressing within a 180 day period (an approved inspection must be completed) or an extension must be applied for per the 2009 International Building Code, section 105.5. This permit was issued September 2, 2008 and no inspections have been performed under this building permit. We also do not show any record of an extension request. While contractors typically submit permit applications, property owners are ultimately responsible for the permits on their property per the 2009 International Building Code, section 105.1. I encourage you to call for a final inspection so we may close this permit out and ensure all life safety components have been completed. Please contact us within 30 days as of the date of this letter to schedule this inspection. If we do not hear from you within 30 days, we will expire this permit. That means any future work you are considering could not be applied for or approved until this expired permit is resolved. Frontage Road West Vail„ CO 81657 RE: Permit #1308-0252 Lionshead Restroom To Martin, I apologize for not closing out this permit in the Fall of 2008. 1 had assumed that my superintendent and plumbing contractor had completed the inspection process in conjunction with the close-out of the adjacent Lionshead Ski School project (1308-0186). Permit B08-0252 was for a conversion of an office space to a emergency bathroom in the temporary office trailers that served as temporary public restrooms as well. These trailers were recently replaced in 2009 with a permanent building. Permit B09-0022 called for the removal of these trailers and the construction of a permanent building. The physical address was also updated from 600 Lionshead Mall to 560 E. Lionshead Circle. The trailers were relocated to a Minturn storage yard for potential reuse or donation to a not for profit. However, since these trailers were structurally unstable they were eventually destroyed and properly disposed. We would appreciate that the Town of Vail takes this into account and closes out this permit. If you have any question please contact me.
