General Information:
All projects requiring design review must receive approval prior to submitting a building permit application. Please
refer to the submittal requirements for the particular approval that is requested. An application for Design Review
cannot be accepted until all required information is received by the Community Development Department. The
project may also need to be reviewed by the Town Council and/or the Planning and Environmental Commission.
Design review approval lapses unless a building permit is issued and construction commences within
one year of the approval.

RE: Front Door DRB Submittal
Dear George:
Enclosed you will find a final DRB submittal for Vail's Front Door. This package
includes information requested by the DRB when last reviewing the project on May 18tH
(i.e. lighting details, street furnishing, paver patterns, site cross-sections, etc.). As
requested by the DRB, we have provided five half-size sets for distribution to the Board.
I have also included a check in the amount of $650 as I believe we did not provide this
fee for previous conceptual reviews of the project.
Jay, Bob Fitzgerald and I are available to meet with you to answer any questions you may
have regarding this application. We look forward to working with you on this
application.

RE: Vail's Front Door Conceptual DRB Submittal
Dear George:
Enclosed you will find four copies of a conceptual DRB application for Vail's Front
Door. As we discussed a few weeks ago, we plan to present these drawings to the DRB
at their May 18th meeting. Given the recent turnover in members we envision this
meeting to be an introductory session with the Board.
You should find this plan set to be very consistent with the development plan approved
by the PEC. Minor refinements have been made to the floor plan for the skier services
building. We can discuss these after you have had a chance to review the submittal. The
roof ridges are at or lower than heights approved by the PEC.
Materials and colors are identified on building elevations. Given that this is a conceptual
submittal, it is our plan to bring actual material samples and colored elevations to the
meeting on the 18th. Let me know if you would like to see these samples prior to the
meeting.
Thank you for your assistance with this review. Let me know if you would like to get
together prior to the DRB meeting.
