Pursuant to 2003 IBC Section 106.3.4,this is to inform you that Cator, Ruma and
Associates, as the registered design professional in responsible charge of the Mechanical,
Electrical, and Plumbing design for the base building at Arrabelle,has reviewed the
proposed above referenced tenant finish packages being submitted for a revision to the
approved construction documents. To the best of our knowledge, we find the proposed
revisions compatible with the approved construction documents with the exception of the
item listed below. The tenant finish engineer shall issue an addendum to his drawings
making the necessary modifications to address the item stated in this letter.
Refer to drawing M100. The sequence of operation for the air curtain f,AC-1) states"Hot
water shall continuously circulate through the hot water coil during occupied hours." The
Air Curtain Schedule shows that the flow rate for this coil is to be 13 GPM. It is not
acceptable for a coil with this large a flow rate to run wild. The tenant finish engineer
shall provide a modulating two-way control valve controlled by a temperature sensor for
the air curtain.
We take no exception to the proposed electrical design.

Scott Fricke asked that I sent you information regarding the proposed madification to the
automatic sliding door at the Vail Sports store in ArraBelle. Please find atta�:hed a floor plan
of the store,as well as a photograph and elevation showing the proposed ch.ange. The intent
is to match the e�sting door's size and fmish, changing only the operation of the
active/inactive sliding panels.
I researched the 2003 International Building Code and did not find any special requirements,
such as barriers or protective guardra.ils, far emergency outswing panels such as these.
