Dear Chartie:
Pursuant to 2003 IBC Section 106.3.4, this is to inform you that 4240 Architecture, as the registered
architectural design professional in responsible charge for the Arrabelle Project, has reviewed the above
referenced proposed retail tenant improvement construction documents. To the best of our knowledge,
we find these documents compatible with the approved construction documents for the Arrabelle
Project, with the following comments:
1. Although not directly attached to the permit set, a tenant restroom facility diagram provided by
4240 dated March 20, 2007 is to be included with the package to demonstrate compliance with
IBC Section 2902.5.
2. A utility sink is shown backing up to an existing 2 hr rated partition. If the plumbing lines are to
be installed in that partition, it must be fully patched to maintain the integrity of the fire rating and
pipe penetrations must be sealed with the appropriate fire rated sealant. A wall furred out in
front of the rated partition to contain the plumbing lines is another option.

Mechanical Peer Review Report

Cator, Ruma&Associates performed a peer review of the mechanical drawings completed by the
owner's MEP engineer who will be providing their PE stamp on the drawings. The following
review comments are intended to notify the owner of possible base building conflicts and impacts,
as well as provide the Tenant Finish Engineer with a general review of their design. Note that the
building department should review the drawings for code conformance.
MECHANICAL
1.1 Provide access doors in the ceiling as necessary to access the fan coil unit and isolation
valves on building risers located in the tenant space.
1.2 Plan note#3 calls for connections to the domestic water piping in the chop house. There is
a 1" cold water and '/"hot water valved and capped domestic water connection inside the
Arriesgado Clothing retail space. Use these connections to supply the service sink in this
space. The service sink is within 100' feet of the hot water main, which is circulated, and
therefore does not require a hot water circulation line. Do not modify the base building hot
water circulation system.
