BUILDING DEPARTMENT COMMENTS
Architectural Comments:
1 Revise plans to include a means of egress plan per IBC 107.2.3. Show exit travel distances, common path of egress travel, indicate the square footage and occupant load factor for
the tenant space. IBC ch. 10
2 Include details for the construction of the furred and dropped ceiling areas including framing connections to floor structure above. All framing shall be non-combustible per IBC
chapter 6
3 Revise plans at access to second exit through private viewing room. Means of egress doors shall be concealed by curtains. IBC 1008.1
4 Provide a vestibule per IECC 502.4.7 at the entrance if the space exceeds 3000 s.f.
5 Revise doors 011 and 012 to minimum 36” to provide 32” clear width opening per IBC 1008.1.1 and ANSI 117.1 section 404.2.2
6 Indicate on door schedule all door hardware to be lever type per ANSI 117.1 section 404.2.6
Mechanical Comments:
7 Provide compliance with IECC 503.2.4.4 for relief ducts.
8 Revise general notes to indicate duct insulation R values per IECC 503.2.7
9 Revise general notes to indicate pipe insulation thickness per IECC 503.2.8
10 Revise general notes to indicate requirements of IECC 503.2.9 and 503.2.9.3
11 Show method of air balancing per IECC 503.2.9.1 and IMC ch. 6 on the plans
Electrical Comments:
12 Provide show window receptacles at store front windows per NEC 210.62
13 Provide a complete lighting plan stamped by the electrical engineer. Show all circuiting and switching for lighting. Additional comments may be necessary once the lighting plan
is submitted.
14 Provide a Comcheck lighting compliance certificate per 2009 IECC
15 Show locations of all illuminated exit signs and egress lighting on the lighting plans
