The documents submitted for this project have been reviewed for compliance with the 2003 International Building Code, 2003 International Residential Code, 2003 International Mechanical Code, 2003 International Fuel Gas Code, 2003 International Plumbing Code, 2003 International Energy Conservation Code and 2002 National Electrical Code as modified and adopted by the Town of Vail. The following comments will need to be addressed prior to issuance of a building permit: For processing; • Please submit four complete sets of revised construction documents containing the requested information with all plan revision items clouded or otherwise identified • r • Please respond in writing to each comment by marking the attached list or creating a response letter. Indicate which plan sheet detail specification or calculation shows the requested information. Please send revisions to the attention of the plans examiner with the building permit application number noted. • Please be sure to include on the resubmittal the engineer's or architect's "wet" stamp signature registration number and date on the cover page of any structural calculations all structural details and structural sheets of the plans For commercial or multi - family projects all sheets of the plans must be stamped. 1 An application for Design Review for the exterior alteration is required. An application is in progress between VRDC and ToV as requested. 2 An asbestos test and report is required per TOV ordinance. The asbestos test and report was submitted to the ToV under the original Vail's Front Door Permit application. Please refer to Charlie Davis/ToV for this document. Architectural Comments: 3 Please provide (2) complete sets of plans with all sheets stamped by the architect, or engineer of record. 5 signed and sealed sets will be submitted. 4 Clearly identify proposed room on the plans. Include all information that was shown on the original drawing et. gee sheet AM101 for added Room tags, Door tags, and other information. 9. Include new wall construction details and information on the existing and proposed ceiling. IBC ch. 6 See 1 /AM101 for wall tags and 3 /AM101 for a wall type detail on the revised drawing submission. Existing drywall ceiling to remain. 6 Include specifications for new door. Door shall be large enough to remove the largest piece of mechanical equipment. IFGC See sheet AM101 for door schedule and hardware information. 7 Include means of egress plan for the exiting in the area of remodel. Show occupant loads and exit widths where double doors and corridor are being removed. IBC ch. 10 Per previously submitted, "Electrical Room Plan" AE101 (dated 02/17/06) Issue 01A, and "Emergency Exiting Plan(s) CEP01 & CEP01 (dated 05/23/06), the current exit path thru the adjacent Banquet Storage room is maintained and is not negatively impacted by the change from two 3' -0" doors to one 3' -0" door (exit capacity of 3' -0" door = 200 Occupants). Structural Comments: 8 Include structural plans for framing of openings in the exterior wall for the new vents. See note on sheet AM101 regarding structural angles supporting flue pipe. Comments: 9 Provide a floor drain in the mechanical room. Mechanical Comments: 11 Include a complete equipment schedule and plan for all equipment proposed in the mechanical room. See sheet M001 for equipment schedules. See 1/M010 for equipment /piping schematic. 12 Include sizing calculations for the combustion air duct. See revised DM101P for combustion air calculations. -13'- Amend plans to show gas vent termination per IFGC 503.6.6. Vents must terminate a minimum of 8' from a vertical wall or similar obstruction.
