Executive Summarv
This proposal describes various electronics and entertainment s_ystems that will be included in Vail
Chalet#3 at the time of closing. These items, referred to as "Infrastructure," pertain to items that are
built into the walls of the home or elements that are critical to the function of the residence. These
ite'ms fall under the scope of Vail Resorts Development Corporation (VRDC) and will be
coordinated and invoiced through them. As such, these solutions are subject to coordination fees as
stipulated in the purchase contract with VRDC. In addition, other costs may need to be added due to
impacts on other trades.

Speaker wiring
We will include speaker and control system wiring to the areas listed below. Speaker wire is sixteen
gauge unless otherwise noted. Control wiring will allow for operation using music keypads or
Crestron touchpanels. Speaker locations include all bedrooms, master bathrooms, kitchen, living
room, dining room, decks (3), media room (surround sound). Wire will be run to a centralized
location in the level 1 storage closet.
iPod docking station wire
We will wire for iPod docking stations. This wirin� will allow iPods to be placed in cradles that
power tnem anci senq sounci to ceiiina speakers throughout the residence. Locations include in the
living room.
Conduit
We will run conduit to allow for wire passage to such things as wall or fireplace mounted TV's.
Currently included in the level one media area.

Satellite system wiring
We will run the wiring necessary to support the addition of an HD satellite dish and satellite radio
antenna to your home. The may be subject to HOA and DRB approvals.
Phone,TV and data wiring
Thul Electronics will run all phone, TV and data wiring. Phone/Data wiring locations will receive
two Category Se cables. TV locations will receive this wire plus two RG6 coax cables as well as
special wiring for video distribution. All wires will be pulled to recessed low voltage enclosures.
Base package wiring and communication panel for these purposes will be eliminated.
Camera system wiring
Allows for the addition of cameras at the door stations in the home.

In-Wall Speakers
Below is list of speakers to be installed.
Sonance 623TR, 6.5" in-ceiling speakers
This is the most common speaker we provide. It is suitable for back�round music and is often used
in bedrooms and bathrooms.

Sonance 832DR 8",in-ceiling speakers
This is a better quality speaker often used in surround sotmd systems and areas with high ceilings.
Provides more bass and a more balanced sound quality than our basic speaker.
Placed in the tiving room, kitcl�en, dinina room and the multi p�irpose room (7).
Outdoor speakers
These speakers will be included subject to DRB and HOA approval
Velodyne in-wall subwoofer
This subwoofer will.t�e concealad in the wall with only a grill showing. It provides the bass to help
balance the sound of in-wall spe�kers. It is commonly used with surround sound systems, in larger
rooms or where better quality sound is desired.
Placed in the living room (I)
Back boxes
High density composite enclosures or metal enclosures will be placed in the wall/ceilin� behind
speakers and serve to reduce the sound that would otherwise bleed into adjoining rooms. They also
help to maintain the integrity of the in-wall insulation your builder provides. These are rec�uired for
in-wall speakers in order to meet VRDC sound isolation rec�uirements.
Music System Controls
Music and home control interfaces
Crestron wired, wall mount keypads and touchpanels will be incluc�ed at the time of clos?ng. They
may not be operational until post closing components are installed

Hom�e Control Systems
Lutron lighting control
Lighting control is very popular with many of our clients. It can sirnplify lighting operation and
eliminate confusing and tmattractive wall clutter caused by banks of switches. The system I am
proposing is a Lutron Series 8 lighting control system. Details and benefits are as follows:

Climate control
This system provides for heatina, ventilation, air conditioning (HVAC) and humidity control
integration into the Crestron system. With this system, temperature can be controlled from Crestron
thermostats and from select color touchpanels. The temperature of the home c�n be monitored or
even controlled over the Internet as well. Additional charges from the mechanical/heating contractor
wil] apply.
• Room temperature may be displayed and controlled using Crestron thermostats in or near
the room

Keyless Efitry/Remote Door Control
We will provide keyless entry/intercoin stations at the front door, level 2 deck and vestibule eutry.
This system will have the following features:
• A visitor could press the call button causing the phones in the home to ring. An occupant
could speak with the visitor and unlock the door for them with the press of a button on the
phone.
• The door can be unlocked by enterinQ the corre.ct code on the keypad.
• Two codes of the buyer's choosing can be programmed into the controller.
System includes door boxes with numeric keypad entry. They are config�ired to work with a
Panasonic Digital Phone system with door box cards.

Securitv cznd Envirorimental Alarrn Syste»t
This security system is intended to satisfy most insurance companies' demands and owners' desires
for monitored bur�lar and low temper�ture detection. Control of this system will be accomplished
thou�ht the use of alarm keypads in the home.
This system will include:
• Alarm keypads located at the vestibule and main entry
• Motion detectors - one per floor
� Contact switches - one per e�terior door; vestibule
• Low temperature sensors — one per floor
• Water detectors—kitchen refriQerator, l�undry room and level l b�r
