Executive Summary
This document is intended to provide the owner of the Lodge at Vail Chalet #12 with descriptions
of various electronics and entertainment systems that will be included in the home at the time of
closing. These items, referred to as "Infrastructure," pertain to items that are built into the walls of
the home or elements that are critical to the function of the residence. These items fall under the
scope of Vail Resorts Development Corporation (VRDC) and will be coordinated and invoiced
through them. As such, these solutions are subject to coordination fees as stipulated in the purchase
contract with VRDC. In addition, other costs may need to be added due to impacts on other trades.
Items such as audio video systems, music systems, touchpanel programming, etc. will be included
in a separate proposal outside of the scope of VRDC and can be contracted directly with Thul
Electronics. Unless otherwise noted, items not included in infrastructure may not be included in the
home at the time of closing.

AV System Wiring
Speaker wiring
We will include speaker and control system wiring to the areas listed below. Speaker wire is sixteen
gauge unless otherwise noted. Control wiring will allow for operation using music keypads or
Crestron touchpanels. Speaker locations include all bedrooms, master bathrooms, kitchen, living
room, dining room, decks (3), media room (surround sound). Wire will be run to the junior master
bedroom closet.
iPod docking station wire
We will wire for iPod docking stations. This wiring will allow iPods to be placed in cradles that
power them and send sound to ceiling speakers throughout the residence. Locations include in the
living room, library, Sr. Master bedroom and Jr. Master bedroom.
Conduit
We will run conduit to allow for wire passage to such things as wall or fireplace mounted TV's.
None included at this time.
Satellite system wiring
We will run the wiring necessary to support the addition of an HD satellite dish and satellite radio
antenna to your home. The addition of a satellite dish may be subject to HOA and DRB approvals.
Phone,TV and data wiring
Thul Electronics will run necessary cabling to meet current standards for phone, TV, Crestron video
distribution and data wiring. Base package wiring for these purposes will be eliminated.
Camera system wiring
Allows for the use of IP or CCTV cameras. None currently included

In-Wall Speakers
Thul Electronics provides a variety of speakers from a number of manufacturers. Below is a
summary of the speakers being proposed. Speakers are configured as pairs unless otherwise noted.
Sonance 623TR,6.5"in-ceiling speakers
This is the most common speaker we provide. It is suitable for background music and is often used
in bedrooms and bathrooms.
Placed in the kitchen, master bedrooms and master bathrooms
Sonance 832DR 8",in-ceiling speakers
This is a better quality speaker often used in surround sound systems and areas with high ceilings.
Provides more bass and a more balanced sound quality than our basic speaker.
Placed in the living room, dining room and library.
Outdoor speakers
These speakers will be included subject to DRB and HOA approval
Only wiring included at this time. Wires will be pulled through the wall/ceiling and covered with a
cover plate that can be painted (By others) to match surrounding finish.
Velodyne in-wall subwoofer
This subwoofer will be concealed in the wall with only a grill showing. It provides the bass to help
balance the sound of in-wall speakers. It is commonly used with surround sound systems, in larger
rooms or where better quality sound is desired.
Placed in the living room (1)
Back boxes
High density composite enclosures or metal enclosures will be placed in the wall/ceiling behind
speakers and serve to reduce the sound that would otherwise bleed into adjoining rooms. They also
help to maintain the integrity of the in-wall insulation your builder provides. These are required for
in-wall speakers in order to meet VRDC sound isolation requirements.

Crestron twelve button keypads—Master bathrooms
Crestron wired, wall mount keypads and touchpanels will be included at the time of closing. They
may not be operational until post closing components are installed

Home Control Systems
Climate control
This system provides for heating and cooling control integration into the Crestron system. With this
system, temperature can be controlled from Crestron thermostats and from select color touchpanels.
Additional charges from the mechanical/heating contractor will apply.
• Room temperature may be displayed and controlled using Crestron thermostats in or near
the room
• Sensors may be used to increase accuracy of readings and will be placed between 30"
and 40" AFF. They will protrude about 1/8" from the wall and may be painted (By
others)
• Select Crestron touchpanels may be used to view and control temperatures in all zones.
(Post-cIose feature)
• Home temperatures can be monitored and controlled from any computer with an internet
connection. (Post-close feature)

Keyless Entry/Remote Door Control
We will provide keyless entry/intercom stations at the front door, door leading from the garage into
the home and the man door leading into the garage.
This system will have the following features:
• A visitor could press the call button causing the phones in the home to ring. An occupant
could speak with the visitor and unlock the door for them with the press of a button on the
phone.
• The door can be unlocked by entering the correct code on the keypad.
• Two codes of your choosing will be programmed into the controller. Changes to these
codes can be done by Thul Electronics.
System includes door boxes with numeric keypad entry and connection to a Panasonic phone
system.

Security and Environmental Alarm System
This security system is intended to satisfy most insurance companies' demands and owners' desires
for monitored burglar and low temperature detection. Control of this system will be accomplished
thought the use of alarm keypads in the home.
This system will include:
• Alarm keypads located in the garage and main entry
• Motion detectors -one per floor
• Contact switches - one per exterior door
� Low temperature sensors—one per floor
Control of the alarm may be added to Crestron touchpanels. (Post-close option)
Note that an active phone line will be required to monitor this system.
Alarm System Monitoring
This system can be tied into a central alarm monitoring station that will contact your property
management personnel when a problem is detected. Thul Electronics can provide this service.
