Dear Martin,
May 21, 2009
Our Building Permit expiration date for the finishing of the Club Sales and Ski Shop area
needs to be extended. The Vail Plaza Hotel & Club requires additional time to complete
this work before receiving an occupancy permit for these areas. We hope to have the fire
alarm and sprinkler system inspected this week for both areas and the final occupancy
inspection for the Club Sales area prior to June 1, 2009. The Ski Shop we hope to have
completed by November 20, 2009.
Therefore, we are asking the Town of Vail to renew this building permit for six (6)
months.

At the request of the owner of Vail Plaza Hotel we are submitting this package for
application for building permit for the retail spaces and the atrium doors. As previously
discussed, this work will not be completed by the general contractor (Shaw
Construction) who originally built the Vail Plaza Hotel, and therefore the Owner will be
submitting for building permit separately in order to complete the work indicated in this
package.
