In my professional opinon the tree should be removed for two main਍ഀ reasons: first the heavy infestion of spruce scale throughout the tree, secondly the root system is਍ഀ invasive to the foundation. Dr. Cohen has already made repairs to his foundation due to the roots.਍ഀ The spruce tree in question is also close to the house which will pose problems in the਍ഀ future. As the tree gets bigger the limbs will grow against the roof which increases the fire danger਍ഀ for the house. Also, the root system could pose a threat to the foundation a second time.਍ഀ Once the tree is removed Dr. Cohen wants to plant (2) aspens in the same area as the਍ഀ spruce to be removed.
