● Submit two complete sets of revised construction documents containing the requested information with all plan revision items clouded or otherwise identified.
● Please respond in writing to each comment with a response letter addressing each comment.
BUILDING DEPARTMENT COMMENTS
Architectural Comments:
1 Revise plans to show proposed total R-value of new roof assembly. R-49 minimum is required per 2009 IECC
2 Revise window schedule to show safety glazing at windows: W21, W20
3 Revise floor plans to show handrails at stairways per IRC R311.7
4 Add note to plans for carbon monoxide detectors to be installed throughout existing dwelling per IRC R315
5 Revise plans to provide drainage at the driveway and exterior of the addition per requirements of IRC R401.3
6 Show location of mechanical equipment on the floor plans
7 Revise plans to provide a window complying with IRC R310 for new windows in existing bedroom of main level.
Structural Comments:
8 Complete the attached special inspection program forms for the following require special inspections:
Soils testing
Micropile installations
Structural steel and welding
9 Include complete construction plans for the micropile to grade beam construction detail.
10 Include construction plans for the micropile to steel beam connection at areas where there is no grade beam.
11 Include compete plans for the micropiles stamped and signed the a Colorado State Licensed Engineer
12 Provide (2) copies of the geotechnical report for this project.
Plumbing Comments:
13 Include complete plumbing plans per 2009 IFGC, 2009 IPC and TOV submittal requirements
Mechanical Comments:
14 Include complete mechanical plans per 2009 IMC and TOV submittal requirements
Electrical Comments:
15 Include complete electrical plans with load calculations and panel schedule per 2008 NEC and Town of Vail submittal requirements
