Thanks for the message you left me last week regarding the possible extension of the remodel plan for ourഀ
residence at 4879 Meadow Drive in East Vail. I would appreciate it if you would consider granting an extensionഀ
of the plan that was approved last summer. This project has unfortunately been delayed getting started due toഀ
issues my neighbor, Mr. Audiss, has encountered. However, we still intend to pursue the project and wouldഀ
like to get a builder engaged.ഀ
If my memory is right, I think you told me in the message that the plan was approved in June of last year, whichഀ
begs the question, after reading this note from June 27th, whether a revised plan reflecting the Audiss propertyഀ
as the Secondary unit, was ever formally submitted and approved. If that never occurred, then (i) I need toഀ
have a discussion with Mr. Audiss as to why that never happened, and (ii) that change to the approved planഀ
needs to occur before any extension is granted. Would you please check to see if the plan that was ultimatelyഀ
approved represents the Audiss residence as the Secondary unit.ഀ

Thank you for your patience in regards to the Primary/Secondary designation for the existing duplex at 4879ഀ
Meadow Drive, Unit 1 (Parcel B - Fitzgerald) and Unit 2 (Parcel C - Audiss)/ Lot 15, Block 5, Bighorn 5thഀ
Addition. I have found a letter, in the Town legal file, dated February 26, 1992 from Edward Gwathmey, AIAഀ
(attached), that designates the 'Lamb Residence' as the 'Secondary' unit. With the letter and the ownershipഀ
time-line, provided by Patte H. Burkholder (attached), it is clear that Parcel C - Audiss Residence is theഀ
Secondary unit.ഀ
Therefore, to move forward with the application for re-model (DRB08-0152), please submit revised plans, thatഀ
reflect the Audiss unit as Secondary. To formally submit the change, please also complete and submit aഀ
'Change to Approved Plans' form (follow the link below for a copy of the form), with both owner signatures, andഀ
fee in the amount of $20 to the Community Development Department. Thank you for your time andഀ
